Well I ordered 2 blu-rays from amazon.de with standard shipping on the the 18th of this month. Have 2 questions people from the states how long did it take for your order to get to you. Also when you ordered with standard shipping did it come by regular mail. Amazon.de states its coming from DHL but I called them and they say they have no recored of my package, any help would be great

Mine has always come USPS via standard shipping. And I'd say it takes about 10 business days from the ship date to get to me.

DHL will deliver it to USPS who will then drop it off in your mailbox.

I received a tracking number from Amazon.de on COTT. When I paste the tracking number in DHL it says the number is not valid. When I paste the number in DHL Global, it says the number can't be found. When I check the Amazon.de website it shows tracking info.

Anyone know what's up?

I'm a little bummed. The dang Grand Canyon title arrived yesterday, I am of course going to be out of town until next Monday evening.

Mine is listed as delivery on September 6. I guess that's not a holiday in Germany.

It should would be nice to get it early and have it for the weekend. Oh well. If it doesn't make it I'll have to be content with Wild Ocean, the US Open, and College Football on Directv.

The day I got my 3D TV and 3D BD player was the same day I was leaving for vacation. I couldn't keep my mind off getting back. My wife and I actually took a train from Chicago to Los Angeles (which l would not do again) and that took forever so I was bummed a little going and coming thinking about getting back home (he,he).

As someone who uses amazon.de often to ship to the states... I only do two day shipping, as it is the only method that provides tracking.

Despite the estimated delivery date, Amazon will make you wait 45 days before sending a replacement or issuing a refund. They provide great customer service, but the wait is killer.

SO, when I order from there, I factor in the excessive 2 day charge and decide if I need it that bad. OR I risk LONG delays in arrival.

CWACOM 3D took 39 days to arrive.

Grand Canyon, 2 days.

Yup.

Yup.

I ordered CWACOM from .de but then it became available in the states so when it arrived I sent it back (unopened). I got my refund in less than two weeks.

Why are you state side people ordering from Amazon.de rather than Amazon.com????

Earlier availability?

Yep. A return is easy. A disc that shipped and has not arrived in say, 42 days... not AS easy. You have to wait before filing a claim, and then it takes 2 weeks from that point. Just like a standard refund.

My point is that standard shipping could take ages to the States from that site. 2 day shipping, although expensive, arrives in... ta da!!! 2 days

And yes, earlier availability in some cases, or exclusive in the case of Clash 3D causes us to order from there
