I was wondering, what brand and type of BR-drive Oppo was using inside their BD-P80 and BD-P83.
Reason: several times, I have encountered discs, that took a really long time to load (BEFORE any "update your firmware"-logo etc., so just the "initial reading process") or have had problems during playback (stutter or freezes) both in my computer with PowerDVD (HDDVD/BR Combo drive) and the LG-BR-drive inside my Popcorn Hour C200. Only my Oppo BD-P80 played these discs without any problems.
I have the feeling, that some of these discs are just badly mastered / produced, since, when exchanging them, they played fine on the computer and on the C200. The Oppo drive seemed to be much more capable of getting along with these discs
So I am considering to equip my C200 with the same drive, the Oppo uses, should this be a model, that is available in retail. Which drive is Oppo using?
