OK got the HD250 yesterday, my older Peerless projector mount did not work -- the spider arms were too short...so I ran to Lowe's and picked up some aluminum channel the same size at the Peerless arms, cut them to size in my shop, painted them to match the mount, drilled the holes and got the thing hung. Half of the picture was shining on my ceiling, could not read the menu...had to wait for the wife to get home to hold up some paper in front of the projector so I could read the menu and size the screen, focus, etc. After all of that PITA work, I got a great picture to watch the Notre Dame game today on. First observations (negatives) the fan is noisier than my old Sony LCD projector, the automatic lens cap is really loud when it opens and closes, the unit takes a little longer to start once powered on, manual is just OK, really puts out some heatand the pic is a little soft, -- could be my DirecTV signal on this one, using remote to adjust screen focus and shift is clunky, no numbers to tell you where you are at/no reference points. Now the (positives) great color, a LOT brighter pic than my aging Sony LCD, I have not noticed any motion blur, unit is heavy and seems well made, dual HDMI inputs, blacks are awesome, no issues with a decent amount of ambient light -- Steware Firehawk screen helps with this. I think I am really going to enjoy it!!!
