So when a source is connected directly to the PJ, there is no image shift? Any adjustment possible on the PJ?
I cabled the source direct to the projector and it was fine.
However...I cabled it direct again later and it was messed up. Obviously, that means the projector is the issue. It was hard to isolate because it now seems to be an intermittent problem with the proj hdmi input/processing.
Glad you're at least up and running. Does the "bad" box work if you feed it directly to a TV?
Yes, but where I put the suspect box there is no avr. I will try moving it back after the fight to see if it's the box or maybe it just needed a reset.
cool thanks, might as well wait for updates I guess. Though I am digging the 4311. Except any reference to the cheesy apple company and real music appreciation.....yuk
I'm no Apple fanoy, but the integration with an iPad via AirPlay is darn impressive. I have a 30K song collection, and the ability to use an iOS device to play everything thru the 3411 is fantastic.
^^
Yes, it will be a problem as that is not the correct mic, rather for Denon models about 6-8 years ago. You'll want to contact the seller and get the DM-A409 mic.

Thanks much.
Now to contact denon.
I do have an audyssey mic that came with my SVS AS-EQ1..
Welcome back little mouse (muad'dib)! Another former 4311 owner returns to the fold! You could confirm on the mic substitution on Ask Audyssey on their website.
I just got an AVR-4311CI about 3 weeks ago, it has been working great in 2.1 up until today when I added a center channel and 2 rears. Now the right amp seems to be playing at a very low volume and without the same sound as the left which still sounds normal. I've performed the tone test and with -12 on the left and center and +12 on the right, it's sounds almost balanced, but the sound is still weak.
I've tried swapping speakers between left and right and the problem is definitely not the speakers or wires. I've also tried performing a processor reset of the receiver and the problem is still the same.
Am I missing a setting somewhere or did my right channel amp section decide to quit today?
I recently noticed that it seems my 4311 is not playing any HD audio formats, they all seem to be scaled down to either dts or dolby digital. For the life of me I cannot get the display to read any sort of HD audio.
I am feeding it with a samsung bd player through hdmi and it plays everything fine even 3d, but no HD audio.
The audio out status on the bd player shows it is outputing the hd audio, but in the status menu of the denon it just shows the regular digital.
Any ideas of a setting that I have messed up or is it an equipment problem?
Need help my Denon 4311ci keepings shutting itself off every few minutes. This is the first time this has happen.
Disconnect everything. Does it still happen? If no, reconnect things one by one until you find the culprit. If yes, reset the microprocessor and see if it still happens.
If it STILL happens after a reset and with nothing connected, then unfortunately it's likely a repair issue.
That's what I doing right now with my speaker wires. Got a new stand today and I think that could be the problem when I reconnect the speaker wires to the Denon .Found the problem it was my center speaker wire thanks batpig.

Make sure the BDP is set to "bitstream" and that "Secondary Audio" is set to OFF.

Did you run AUTO SETUP again after adding the additional speakers as is required? What are the trim settings for the FL/FR speakers after running AUTO SETUP? You may want to reset the microprocessor (p. 138).
Just dawned on me that "Evil Chris" has/had his PJ mounted on the back wall so it's possible the OP has the same setup with his equipment rack next to the PJ.
yup, i did... now it sits on top of the rack...

now THAT is a nifty idea... i like that...

Does anyone know how I can get the Harmony codes for the 4311 without going through Harmony? Harmony won't help because I have had the remote over a year now.
On the denon a-100, when watching 3D, will the detail enhancer in video scaler setting still be active? As it is with 2D material?
y'know, that's a good question... the manual is mute on this subject when it comes to a "direct answer"...
my guess is no, as you cannot use the scaling/deinterlacing for a 3d signal, which "may" imply that the video processor is bypassed entirely for a 3d signal... which would mean no picture adjustments would be possible...

Thanks
they aren't in the database?
try the 4810 if it's not... someone else will chime in to help, i'm sure...
