Hey guys, have a question.
I think most of us are looking for as close to a "audiophile" sound without breaking the bank.
PE....you obviously are a bass head, (no cut), and that bass seems to be big issue in listening, however, there are those who just want bass to complete their 2 channel or theater system. You are definitely not alone in needing plenty of bass.
When I am ready to redo my surround, I will go a much higher end system. At the moment I am looking for a reasonable sub to just add bass for MUSIC LISTENING ONLY.
I don't completely understand rolloff. I have learned that 23Hz is pretty low and is decent. Am I correct?
Here are some subs I am looking (just for fun)
Dayton sub 120 HT, Allison AL10 and the BIC V1220,........these are located at the partsexpress.com
These are even less money and have a better history, however, they are in this category of 'reasonably priced'.
In the 2 channel room, I would need small box with small sound, not big, not boomy. I live in a close net neighborhood of retired people, extremely quiet.
That is why Lava caught my with a quality look and good cheap price, but does it meet the 'high end entry level quality'. I don't know.
There are several people in whom I am been corresponding with here and they have ordered the Lava12, so hopefully there will be some reviews.
Much appreciation, guys, for your insight.
