In the last few month's the CDN $ has been about 3% lower than the U.S. $.
When I bought my 9.8 the price was very comparable to the U.S. price.
When I inquired locally on the 9.9 I could not believe how much higher the price was. They always used the excuse that there is less demand in Canada.
Hence the higher price. That is a big crock.
Nikon was famous for also doing this, a couple of years ago.. But, they just released a new camera(D7000). Guess what the retail price is only 79$ more than the U.S. price.
They create the problems, but jacking over the consumers. Then we are forced to buy out of country, or not at all.
