I'm not sure what is going on. I tried a number of things but nothing seemed to help (unplugged, reloaded old measurements, did new measurements).
Just for grins, I took 3 measurements at the MLP and using Audyssey Pro, set a ruler flat target
with a slight rolloff beginng at 5K. I then measured with OmniMic and I get nothing that looks flat. It appears as though some old data/filters are still in the 80.2.
Here is what I got from OmniMic. In the past, I would get some semblance of a response that looked like the target. One curve is with Audyssey On and the other with Audyssey Off
I then did a full reset (held down VCR button and simultaneously held On/Standby) but full isn't very full since my old trims, crossovers and distances were still in the system. I reloaded the same 3 measurements I took at the MLP and got the following. While better in the bass response, FAR FAR from flat.
IMPORTANT: When I run OmniMic through the system, the sweeps sound normal with no Audyssey enabled. But with Audyssey enabled, a VERY strange sound. I can't put my finger on it -- there is sort of a hollow sound in the bass. I thought my speakers were broken it sounded so weird.
We were supposed to watch movies last night but instead I was up until O'Dark Thrity trying ti figure out what was going on. It is incredibly annoying when a company releases an "update" that screws up the system.
I've never used a flat target before so maybe Audyssey doesn't really give flat? Consider me officially confused
