I would take this to mean that it specifically addresses playback issues with CERTAIN DTS-HD MA soundtracks.
Regards,
There was one disc reported recently that seemed to cause a lot of players some problems too - I think it was Hugo BICBW there. Might be the same issue. Pure speculation on my part though

Greetings,
Yes, the issue with Hugo was related to loading/playback but not the quality of the sound/DTS-HD MA track.
I believe it's 1.3a, but it is 3D ready. Main thing with 80.3 is support of 4k.
FYI 4k "support" means it has a scaler in it that is capable of upscaling to 4k. Neither the 80.2 or 80.3 are currently capable of passing a 4k signal through to a projector. This is confirmed with my 80.2, HTPC and Sony vw1000. Another member in the Sony 1000 thread tried it with his 80.3 and got the same result. It only passes 1080p.
There are no other real differences between the .2 and .3 - just the scaler's top resolution, and brand.
My 80.2 seems to be acting up. I want to verify that its behavior is wrong.
When I press the "Movie/TV" Listening mode the processor does not cycle logically through the possible modes for that selection. It seems to randomly select a mode with no rhyme or reason. It seems to skip through several modes and choose one randomly. The same thing happens when I select "Music" listening modes and "Game".
I would expect that the unit would cycle the same way through the possible modes for that tytpe of listening. When I choose "Music", it picks NRL THX Cinema for example... not a valid mode according to the manual. It takes about 10 or more button presses to eventually find the mode I want and it does not behave the same way each time.
Any thoughts? Is my unit defective? Or is does this happen to your units too?

What default modes have you set up for these inputs?

May be defective. There is a thread about units showing this type of problem. You may need new ide connectors and board cleaning. Call the dealer you bought it from or integra service
official onkyo 270.......,failure thread.
They will ask you to do a full reset show try that first. It will be under warranty.
What are the differences between main out and sub out?
I set up my tv to use both if one starting to give problems. Recently main out tarting acting up (probably hdmi) and I started using sub out. Seems fine but wonde if there are differences?
Hey guys, anyone else having any issues trying to connect or better yet, even finding your Pre-Pro on the Integra app? I know some people are having issues, has there been any fixes or a work around by any chance?
I tried resetting router and everything and can't think of anything else.

Agreed. My equipment is in another room so i love the feedback (e.g. Volume level) this product provides. Now if i could find something this good for my Oppo!
I'd like someone who has rear speakers (7.1 channel setup) and the Integra to do the following:
Go into Setup and tell the prepro you do NOT have a center channel.
Play a 5.1 DTS MA or multichannel PCM track with DPL IIx Movie engaged.
Do you hear sound from the rear speakers?
OK, As requested: Speaker Config 7.2, All listening Modes presets set to PL IIx Movie. Oppo BDP-93>DHC-80.2 Setup>Speaker Setup>Speaker Config>Crossover Freq. = None. Title Used: Green Lantern 5.1 DTS MA
ALL Channels Active.

Thanks Carl. When you said "Crossover Freq. = None", did you mean "Center Channel = None"?

Yes, the field does not indicate what "Center = 60" means. I included the meaning, but omitted which channel. (I am using "60" for all the fields) Sorry.
A problem just started with my 80.2. When I turn everything on sometimes the 80.2 doesn't recognize the audio signal. In other words, the speaker boxes do not show up on the front panel and I have no audio. I have to turn the processor on and off, sometimes a couple of times and then it will recognize the source. It did this a couple of times with my OPPO BDP-95 when I tried to play a CD whether I was using the hdmi input or balanced inputs. Tonight it did it when I just turned on my Direct TV receiver. Has anyone experienced this type of problem?
Bob
Hey bslep, my unit has been doing the exact same thing. I also noticed that the network is not working when I have no audio.
Thanks for the reply luckyaudio. I wonder if the new 7/5/12 firmware release will resolve the issue since it is supposed to improve network compatibility?
