The Tivo unit and Camera are worth a decent amount reselling, bringing the final price on tv down quite a bit.

Very strange, no? This might benefit or hinder you if you plan on buying an extended warranty as the warranty cost might be lower but you are only covered for the lower purchase price. Is that how it works?

This might also be of benefit if you wish to return the Tivo unit or camera for some reason. I can't say for sure how they would handle the TV discount if you did such a thing though.
