"The Walking Dead" on AMC HD - Page 80

i just started reading the comics, in an effort to tide me over until next season begins. if you hate spoilers, DON'T read them! with a few minor exceptions, the TV series is tracking more or less right along with the plot from the comics.

the only differences i've seen so far have been minor, or matters of timing (for instance, in the comic, shane died sooner in the story, dale died later, and the andrea 'romance' angle was shifted between those 2 characters).

the character of Michonne is a fan favorite, people have been dying to see her (no pun intended) since the series was announced.

with the addition of her, and the scenic view of the nearby prison, i can't wait to see what the next season brings. if it continues to faithfully track the comics, it's going to be gritty and brutal, and i don't think the TV world has ever seen anything like it.

Im sure it has been mentioned in this thread for the past two weeks, but i just dont have time, energy, or desire to search that many posts.

That said, my wife and I think that the season should have ended with Shane getting shot and the camera panning up seeing all the Zombies walking towards Rick and Carl...

Please don't post spoilers in this thread. If it involves the comics, post over in that thread. If you feel you must post spoilers here, have the courtesy to use spoiler tags.

Saw the finale last night. Chilling.
When Rick said they were going to set up a perimeter, I nearly lost it. At least they weren't trying to contain someone, ala CTU.

South Park = "Kenny's Dead"

Walking Dead = "Where's Carl?"

There weren't any spoilers in what was posted.

Most people hate cliff Hangers like that. I know I always have. And then half the time the show gets canceled and you never see the resolution to it.

I don't know....the cliffhanger ratm was describing would have been similar (to me, at least) to the S1 LOST final scene - Locke & Jack peering down the hatch into nothingness. Regardless of where you lie on how LOST turned out, that S1 finale was pretty maddeningly awesome.

And ending a TWD season in that manner should not have caused concern as the 3rd season was already ordered before the 2nd one began airing.

We basically had 2 cliffhanger episodes...the next to last one with the horde coming out of the woods and then the finale with the prison and Michonne. Well done!

Thanks guys I didn't know about a Michonne until you blatanly spoiled for the non comic book readers, I thought there was a comic book thread someplace.. unless I missed the name tag in that scene hanging out from her heck or something..

Why don't you left it alone as "stranger with 2 zombies in chains"

I thought it was an appropriate and a great ending too. Not too much of a cliffhanger, but just enough to let viewers know that the farm days are gone and a new beginning lies ahead...along with new characters.

"a Michonne"? Michonne is simply her name, hardly a spoiler.

How is "Michonne" properly pronounced? Is it "me shone?"

I agree. See deadwood. Jericho season one (even tho they came back with season 2 after thousands if emails). Hell people are still upset about the way sopranos ended.

Its not just a world overrun by Zombies. The kid just took a bullet a few weeks ago!

Where was Rick? He was out on a manhunt searching for a guy who seemingly injured Shane and stole his gun. As a parent, I think I'd be extra sensitive to my child's whereabouts with an armed missing prisoner on the loose only weeks after my kid was SHOT!

In fairness, all these cats were let out of the bag in the season finale of "Talking Dead," from Kirkman and Mazzara themselves ... so I think it's a grey area. I seriously doubt you would have been able to stay "spoiler" proof on this during the hiatus. ... Unless you're living in an underground bunker with no media access.

Saying the name of a character that has been revealed is a spoiler? give me a break and i believe she has been referred to in this thread several times before

So even getting an ending doesn't mean everyone is happy.

How about the ending to Carprica where they sliced and diced a cliffhanger into a happy ending monologue.

I enjoyed the talking dead buzz comment that they had to digitally remove the zombies breath because zombies do not breath so there is some attention to detail.

I think it's more of a hunger pains groan.

Maybe its Zombie's purring.

Well we did have that ninja zombie that killed dale.

One person had the question about why it showed downtown Atlanta - because we saw a helicopter and that then led the zombies away from the city, and towards the farm!!

Lori and Carl are beyond worthless. I think the worst Lori moment was in the previous episode when the woman told Lori that Carl had said something vile about Sophia and then Lori said, "It will be okay" not, "I'm so sorry...." or some variation thereof.

Nice to see more Lori hate than Carol LOL !! I'm not sure if I hate Lori but she sure grates on my nerves more times than not .
However I do like Carol but goodness the lady needs to start being more assertive and kicking walker asses !!
