Tyrese... Two seasons late. I figured Rick's mini rampage was an ode to Tyrese's bad assedness in the prison in the comics. Wish they would have had the snow gotten as well.

Snow would have been hard to produce filming on location in Georgia. It probably rarely snows there and they would need a great snowfall to make up a nice looking setting...

Me too, I don't like what they are doing with this and Breaking Bad, the seasons have gotten shorter even though they claim they are splitting one season over two, same thing.

They are actually lengthening the Walking Dead season by 3 episodes this season(16 vs 13), you are right about a lot of the other shows. Breaking Bad had 16 episodes to go and I think we all suspected they would split it up and try to squeeze every last minute out of it.. I suspect if it ever gets decided that Walking Dead is ending they will do the same. But so far, a midseason break is really a midseason break for TWD.

Finally caught up. Watched the first two seasons via netflix and this season on-demand. So last night was my first time watching with commercials. Even with fast forward it really breaks the tension...mad.gif
Thinking of just paying for them on iTunes or something.
But either way, I'm really loving this show! Has such a movie feel to it.

Glenn was a real bad@ss last night. Took his beating like a man and was still able to take down a walker with a broken chair.

Yeah, the mid season break is a bummer. but I'll use the extra time to catch up on other stuff stacked up on the DVR .. Homeland, Dexter, Revolution, etc ..

It was great to see Glenn get a bit of a featured role in this episode .. the Gov is even more Jim Jones like than I thought .. I hope Rick and the "small band of warriors" rip it up .. how Merle and Darryl play out should be interesting ..

Save your money IMO. I bought this season from iTunes a few days before Dish Network brought AMC back thinking it was going to be the only way I would be able to watch. The iTunes version, at least when watching on the AppleTV, is not in 5.1 surround so I still watch it off my DVR because it sounds better.

Loved this episode and can't wait for next week's, this season has been amazing. I enjoyed last season overall but agree that it drag it parts but, this season has been killer, it has felt much more like the first season, even better IMO.

I understood why Glen was a badass but there was no way he was going to be able to hold out with Maggie there. They were dumbasses for letting Merle take them from the beginning. Glen should have refused to give up his gun when Maggie was in danger. Once he did that, it was over. Holding out while being beat up was a waste of time because either he was going to talk if they threatened Maggie's life or Maggie was going to talk if they threatened Glen's life.

Michonne is interesting as well because she clearly isn't telling everything she knows. I think she heard enough to know Darryl is Merle's brother and that Merle used to be with this group (and Andrea for that matter) but she has kept that back. And what is her reason for wanting to go to town again? For Andrea? Is this a friendship or more?

It is hard for me to imagine there is some dumbass sitting in a house in the middle of the woods who doesn't know about the walkers. He certainly acted like it. Seemed to be a convenient way to show walkers eating.

What's up with the Professor and the ringing bowl, pictures experiments on uncle Walter?, talk about being sheltered, I was waiting for him to get biten once and for all. The Gov, is only entertaining his shenanigans because of his lovely Penny. From the trailer for next week's coming epi it looks like the Gov daughter's present state wont matter much longer, eek.gif

It is surely all about the Gov's hope that he can "cure" his daughter. It was stated, IIRC, that the ringing bowl, pictures & questions - as well as the setting - had been reinforced on the old man for a while. It was a test to see if residual memories that a reanimated person may have are in fact still there, at least in the beginning. Andrea knew better, of course, from personal experience.

Yeah, that was a problem for me. As well as the fact that they said they were within a mile of the town when they found the shack and the "town folk" have regular patrols. Wouldn't they have dealt with this guy in the shack one way or the other before this?

Yup I thought about that too, when I heard the weird professor so inclined to do his experiments in earlier episode, I'm guessing there won't be a shortage of folks thinking they can bring back their love ones if it comes to this scenario, I guess for allot of us it's hard to let go rolleyes.gif

I think the governor is more concerned about finding the answers and resolutions to the problem. When the history books get re-written he wants it to be all about him and how he brought back civilization and found the cure and reasoning behind the virus.

A bunch of angles going into next episode i am looking forward to: How will Daryll react to seeing Merle? vice versa.. how will andrea react to seeing michonne and her old group? who will side with who..and how will the defenseless prison be handled if a scout team is sent to check it out..
