Did Arvy do something to offend you or are you just having a bad day? It seems to me that a clearer, not to mention more courteous, way to handle Arvy's gaffe, would have been to point out that when the gov's damaged eye seemed to be on the wrong side of his head, we were being shown his reflection in a mirror.

The Gov is going to kill one or two of them. That will drive them back to the prison. He is deranged enough to believe they are spies.

Really enjoyed this week's show. Andrea's decision not to murder the Gov when she (apparently) had the chance was fascinating. Also, I was impressed by the use of Tom Waits' performance of Hold On, which was made more emotional by part of the song being sung by Emily Kinney (Beth Greene). Had no idea that Kinney could sing but I thought she did a really good job.

How could anyone thing it WASN'T a mirror. If he wasn't looking in a mirror, what do people think they were showing, the Gov. standing a room, looking at nothing, and holding a lit match up to his bad eye for the heck of it? What do they think he was trying to accomplish with that if he wasn't inspecting it in a mirror. Some people just kill me (not you, just those that think it was a goof).

They need to make it 2 hours! Seriously. I don't care if the host is lame, the show is corny, at least they are talking about one of my favorite shows, with some awesome behind the scenes, making up, trivia, etc. We really enjoy it.

Why don't they kill the walkers in the yard? The van broke through, and now the yard they cleared is full again, lure to the fence (most of them are there already) and stab them through the fence. Heck Merle has an awesome knife on his hand alone that could do it. Yet they just complain about all the walkers out there now.

Their moral is down. They are almost at the point of despair, and they have no leadership right now. they also fear a silent attack by the woodberry gang or snipers at this point and would be afraid to go out into the open. The zombies also serve as sort of an early warning detection to activity to close to their home. That imo is why the zombies remain in the courtyard.

^ I was thinking the exact same thing.

I'm with you on this, I can't believe the whole mirror thing is even an after thought... When I first heard this I was OK here we go the OCD Gen in affect! rolleyes.gif

Mirror, Mirror, On the Wall ...

I was more interested in the apparent craftsmanship on the custom eyepatch the Gov came up with .. and at 110" when he peeled off the bandage, the wound was quite realistic .. kudos to the effects team ..

My wife and I just started watching this series last Thursday. We got so hooked that we watched all of seasons 1 & 2 on Netflix and then got up to date by watching the first 8 episodes of season 3 on Amazon and then the last 3 on AMC. That is 30 episodes in 5 days.

Of course after watching so many episodes in such a short amount of time, we now expect to see zombies meandering around every corner. wink.gif

What was that patch made of? It looked like some sort of weaved black material, it actually looked like a faux-black leather weave made out of injection molded plastic.

I think it's made of whatever the town pharmacy had in stock at the time... wink.gif

To me, it looked like leather that had a design of some sort tooled into it .. like a weave design .. certainly hand crafted whatever it was ..

It looked like it was made out of gun holster leather.

Most holster leather is either cow or horse hide, no? I know both of mine are (Crossbreed Supertuck and Galco Kingtuk). Now I have to go back and rewatch that scene...oh darn, an excuse to watch the episode again. smile.gif

I thought it was kinda cool how two of the group (Rick and Karl) are outside in the "safe" part of the prison yard having this deep discussion and in the background you see a zombie on the fence "rrrrrr-arrrrr-arrrrrr" and they think nothing of it.

Alright, I'm dead and promise not to do it again until next time or there's time to reply. Actually, I thought he was looking into a mirror, holding the match up for light, and the camera was showing his face not the image of his face. Thanks for the correction, anyway. At least you called me a person. The other guy suggested I can't think.

For those wondering why they don't shoot the dead and re-secure the prison... they addressed it in this last episode. They have a limited supply of ammo that is running low. IF it was just about the zombies, they would re-secure the prison... but they now have the Governor to worry about and figure they need to conserve ammo to fight his "army"... that's why they can't waste bullets on the walkers outside the prison. Now... they could go out in a group and try to cut them down with blades... and at least lock/fix the outer gate again to keep more from pooling in... but it probably isn't a priority right now.

I didn't say you couldn't think, I said, rather facetiously: "I hope more people bring it up, without thinking." It wasn't directed at you specifically. There are a lot of people saying the same thing. They had to respond to it on the Talking Dead. What I'm promoting is some extra thought on what was happening in the scene.

It was a lot more courteous than what I would say in person, without having to worry about forum rules. Think of me as the Merle in this thread. We are watching a show about zombies, people are not nice in this show, there's a lot of violence. I would expect people watching this show could have little resistance to some very timid ribbing.

But I guess you're right I'm a horrible person, and everyone should be coddled. There's more of that Merle.

No ammo needed. The zombies are milling around the fence and those that aren't can easily be attracted, they approach the fence, you stab them in the head like they have done numerous times.

Yep, just another plot hole to ignore.

The walkers are in effect a minefield. Deadly to both sides, but it also keeps Woodbury people from that area. Likely not...

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this week's episode completely skipped how Rick, Merle etc. got back into the prison after being stranded outside the fence with no ammo.

It's not a plot hole. They are scared to go outside in the open. That's why you see pallets blocking the fence when Carl is out watching, so they aren't seen. They are afraid of being shot in the head. Before they were attacked by the Gov they were out in the open, on the towers, watching for zombies. They didn't fear bullets until now.

That's a different story smile.gif

But, Andrea got through with the zombaway trick. The 3 most capable zombie killers in the group, I'm sure had no problem fighting their way through.

I think there's a fat ass old guy in a basement making universal fit bullets for everyone... And occasionally Arrows... Only explanation i can think of.

The Walking Dead: Will Lennie James' Morgan Character Ever Return?

Access Hollywood – 12 hours ago
It was British actor Lennie James who played Morgan in Season 1 of "The Walking Dead," the newly-single father (his wife had become a walker), who helped a fresh-out-of-his-coma Rick Grimes figure out what was going on in the post-apocalyptic zombie-infested world.

Morgan was one character who didn't pass away at the hands of a flesh eating zombie, so when Access Hollywood spotted the actor who plays him, backstage in the gift lounge at the Independent Spirit Awards last weekend, we had to ask if he'll be back on the AMC show.

"Keep watching 'The Walking Dead,'" Lennie quipped when we asked if the rumors are true - that Morgan will return.

Asked if he went to Atlanta at all (where the show is filmed), Lennie again played coy, repeating his prior sentence -- "Keep watching 'The Walking Dead.'"

A few weeks ago, "TWD" creator Robert Kirkman also dodged the question when Access asked him at the "An Evening with The Walking Dead" event, presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood.

"I don't know where you would have heard that. I can neither confirm nor deny such things," he told Access.

"I can say he's definitely not, not going to come back, but, you know, if he's coming back, I don't know, I don't know, you'll just have to watch," he said, with a laugh.

Fans will have to - as Lennie and Robert both said - keep watching to see if Morgan (and his son) will return to the show.

But, over the weekend, the British actor did tell Access that filming Season 1 was a dreamy experience, one he would have no problem repeating.

"I loved it and part of the reason why I loved it, it was... not to be too pretentious about it, but it was like a dream come true," he told Access. "I got to work with [Season 1 showrunner, who developed 'TWD' for AMC] Frank Darabont. He made one of my favorite films of all time and he's a great guy to work with and we had an hour and a half which felt like a movie, and it wasn't a huge amount of people apart from the zombies.

"It was me and Andrew Lincoln for most of it," he said. "It was gorgeous, I loved it and if I get the chance to come back, I would."

The Walking Dead To Begin Production On Season 4 This May

Access Hollywood – Wed, Feb 27, 2013 11:32 AM PST

AMC announced that the zombie apocalypse drama will begin production on May 6 in Atlanta, Ga.

The network also confirmed news fans already know - Scott M. Gimple is the new showrunner and an executive producer of Season 4.

"Scott has been an essential part of this show since he came aboard at the very beginning of season two. He's contributed to guiding this show in a substantial way that has resulted in a lot of the key scenes and storylines fans have dubbed signature moments of 'The Walking Dead,'" creator Robert Kirkman said in a release. "I am thrilled to begin work on a brand new season of 'The Walking Dead' with Scott at the helm, and I truly believe we could be embarking on what will be the best season of this show yet."

The new showrunner, who takes over for Glen Mazzara, said he is excited to get started.

"I'm thrilled to continue the tradition of the spectacular, cinematic, horrifying, exciting and emotional storytelling of 'The Walking Dead,'" Gimple said in a release. "I'm a huge fan of the comics, and started with the show on the other side of the set, as an avid viewer. Over the past two years, it's been an incredible privilege making such great television with the best cast and crew I've ever worked with - I can't wait to make some more."

Zombie master Greg Nicotero has also been given a promotion to executive producer alongside Tom Luse.

Pallets won't stop any bullets and anyone can see people behind them. Justify it however you want, the show is full of plot holes because it's TV. You just look the other way at some of the silliness.
