His dad never got him the fish he wanted and now you can't buy any aquariums. So he's throwing his tantrum by killing and torturing.

Nah, the show has too many negative waves.

BUT The Talking Donald Sutherland would be infinitely better than Talking Dead.

If you were enjoying the last 2 governor episodes than you would like the full novels Kirkman has written about the Governor before during and after woodbury/prison...

I do think the editing for this season has been terrible..we could have cut out a few scenes of red shirts coughing and spliced in the governors story from episode 3 to now...

and whoever said we have seen the same ending to an episode 3 weeks in a row is on point...for the sake of pacing the showdown MUST start within the first half hour of the show

Having old man Oddball would be more plausible than Kirk Acevedo "taking his ride" when the army fell apart. Unless he worked in an army museum that just happened to have a fully working Patton and ammunition lying around. Maybe he was filming one of those tank restoration shows at the time.

I guess the show couldn't afford to rent the Abrams copy we saw in the first season. Either that or Kirk is lying or the director doesn't know anything about tanks.

They were counting on the general public being tank ignorant like me. I didn't know any better. Thanks for ruining the whole series for me. ;p

Huh, when I read Patton, I was thinking -"I thought it was an M60" and the Patton was the M48. tongue.gif

But it is an M60 Patton and the M48 is named Patton too!

It's going to be interesting to see who becomes an expert tanker next week seeing as how they killed the only other guy with any experience.

Or maybe they will pull a Rambo III and have Kirk driving, loading and firing all by himself. wink.gif

The army guy that is still alive now with the Gov. already said he drove tanks in the army and he is the one that took that tank from the base when everything went down. So they have their tanker.

That was my point. They only have one and it takes a crew to operate a tank unless you are Rambo.

They can't train other people?

And that was my first point.

Now they have to train one or two people as a loader and gunner before the next episode. Which should be easy given the relative incompetence of the characters. I mean it's not as if it requires any sort of technical knowledge or level of physical fitness. Anyone can operate a tank!

On the upside because the show managed to find an old Patton somewhere it will make it slightly easier to figure out than an Abrams.

On a semi-related TWD note, I watched the movie Warm Bodies today and it was awesome! I definitely recommend it to zombie fans.

The M48 was what we had in my outfit, the 3AD.

There was an episode of Richard Hammond's Crash Course where he had to learn (in the simulator) how to control an Abrams. It did not appear to be easy.

+1, The Governor's story has been waaaay better - really intense.

Any predictions for tomorrow? I cant see Herschel as the only casualty...I hope the whole governor/prison arc is over and the beginning of season 4 part 2 leads us to a new location
post #5121 of 6194
I agree, time for a new location.. Is the Gov up for r-election?..biggrin.gif
post #5122 of 6194
If this episode ends in a Gov cliff hanger I hope they all fall off the cliff.

It's a sad indictment of the characters on Dead that in the event of zompocalypse Richard Hammond and James May would be kings of the dead frontier. Mays could turn that prison into a fortress and Hammond could come up with some armored cars, cut down trees and put out fires.

One of the benefits of not much happening this season is that none of the characters have been given the opportunity to be the next Andrea. Even Carol got ejected after going slightly mad. I don't even hate the Governor that much. I hate that the writers completely wasted an opportunity to make him more interesting by instantly reverting him back from Brian to Dick Dastardly. Now the character isn't worth saving.

Blow up the prison. Smash it and burn it with fire.

Only 3 and half hours until the mid season finale...can't wait...i'm dvring it while watching the giants football game.
Yes, I'm ready to watch the repeat of last seasons finale... oh wait. If the Governer is still alive at the end of this episode, I may skip the 2nd half of this season and just wait for it to appear on Netflix.
Fantastic mid-season finale. Last 15 minutes were awesome.
WOW! That was good, but awful at the same time to see you know who go. frown.gif

A great shout out to Amicalola Falls by Maggie. It is located in Dawsonville, GA. about 40 minutes from where we live and about two hours from Atlanta.

I did so love the ending about Hershel: loving father, doctor, etc.etc..may he rest in peace..and then the Govenor: murderer, etc. ..may he rot in hell! Great TV!
Wow! That was heartbreaking, masterful and redeemed the season.

I cried and I don't often do that!

P.S. Carol taught the children well wink.gif
post #5130 of 6194
Now that was good television folks, albeit a few quirks. It's what the first governor battle should have been. And the best part: no more prison (new locstiont). Yippee!

Poor Hershel and Judith. frown.gif
