Toshiba 51H84 Calibration Help

Need some help with Toshiba 51H84. Experiencing a severe and worsening vertical line and fuzziness problem on this unit that is 5 years old. Am unable to get drop down menus to display from Picture menu for the Picture Settings and Convergence areas thus unable to make any adjustments or reset. TouchFocus works fine but has no effect. Can anyone please tell me what may be causing this issue and what are any possible solutions. Any help is appreciated. Thx.

Touch focus should have little to no effect if it has been run recently and nothing else has changed.

If you can get the menu but not pull down segments, the most likely cause is a problem with your remote. If it is more than than and the menu is truly not responding correctly, you have a more complex problem that will likely require professional troubleshooting by a tech very familiar with this chassis, not just any yahoo.

Can you post an image of your vertical line and fuzziness problems?

Multiple problems suggests something that ties them together, perhaps data bus corruption or more likely power supply.

I am having the same problem with the same television that is approximately the same age. I just talked to a local TV repairman who said it is likely the code filter board going bad. He did not recommend a repair and said that the board was hard/impossible to find. I am still searching around hoping for some salvation. If any one has any answers for us, it would be greatly appreciated.

I also have the same problem with my 51h84 is there any hopr of repair? The pictures that are posted in the upper post are exactly like the problem I am having.
