Sony HDR-CX110 steadyshot question

Hello all!

I recently purchased a HDR-CX110, and so far I love it, but before I bought it, I watched a review on the XR-150 (Same thing besides the built in memory) and the review provided a great example of the steady shot the camera had.

I cannot duplicate this for the life of me. When I get face detection on my camera, and shake it just a little, sure enough it shakes. I have Steadyshot set to "active". I cannot get it to stabilize for anything. Any help would be great, thank you!

Surely someone has to own a cx110 or an xr150, who has some insight on this, I see this has had a lot of views but no responses? Even if someone could link me somewhere that could be of some help, that would be great.

I know this is an old thread but I have the same problem as the original poster. steadyshot does not work on my xr150. there was 1 reply that asked if she was using wide angle I am not sure where that setting is but what would that have to do with steadyshot not working? is my camera defective?

wide angle means no zoom

Thanks for the quick reply, I think I know why you asked that. I zoomed in and cycled the Steadyshot and could tell quite an improvement.
