Samsung UN55C6300 vs LN55C630

Which of these two should I buy? The former is LED Edge-Lit and is far thinner, but I've read it suffers from flashlighting, cloudiness, and uniformity issues. Still, the reviews I've read on Best Buy and Amazon rave about it.

The LN55C630 has also gotten good reviews, and would save me about $300. Does anyone have an opinion on which is better? Thanks!

IMHO, CCFL is still the way to go, but you'd probably be fine either way.

There is already a comparison thread on these two sets. Plus there is more info if you do a forum search

I don't think I would have said this two months ago, but the more I see the UN55C6300, the more I prefer it over the LN55C630. I don't think you can go wrong with either one, but the LED-Lit 6300 just looks so much brighter and makes the colors pop so much more. I also think Samsung has solved most of the uniformity issues that plagued (plague) many Edge-Lit LED LCDs when they were first introduced.

Be sure and audition each one in person before making a final decision. We're here to help, but ultimately it's your money and your choice.

Good luck and happy shopping.
