Will the C22 match my 2011 speakers?
Is there a large enough quality improvement to justify the extra $50?

Where did you get that deal?

Check your local Best Buy. Some have the older Pioneer speakers on clearance if they have any left..

BestBuy has a very limited selection in their clearance. If you can't find them there, the next best bet is Newegg.

Now I just need to know if I should get the C21 or C22....

On Monday I go to check out the IL40's and listen to them. Mind you, these are going to be mostly used for music. The reviews I've found in the IL40's are fantastic as well. So I have a bit of a conundrum. Will try and listen to the FS52's on Monday. BB is on the way to where the guy selling the IL's lives. So maybe I'll drop in BB to check them out.

im not an audiophile so i cant exactly tell you but i first hook up one 52 and leave one t45 for comparation, the t45 is louder and midrange and a little bit on highs at low volume,,,but once you turn up the volume is where the magic appears, the psb get louder but not too much compared to the 52 but the psb then tends to distord a little on the high end (brighter, too bright) and the 52 stays calm and clear, the vocals on the 52 sounds better too....is like the 52s are singing and the t45 are shouting at you (dont know if you understand me my english is real bad) in the bass department the 52 are more controlled and less "booming" than the t45,overall is a much better sound to the ear you will like them, btw im not a 2.0 (stereo) phile i havent hook up all the equipment for my 5.1 set up BUT...yesterday i grab some CDs and start listen to them at medium volume and i was really amaze with the soundstages that those 52 brings,i can hear the voice of the guy in the middle (like is theres a center channel) and the music on the sides, dont know about this effect all i can tell you is that the t45 dont do that at all (maybe that is a bad thing, dont know) but i like the effect!!!!!!!!!!! another thing is that i cant perceive the music is coming from the speaker itself is like is comming from the front but not an exact place,i like that too and my psbs dont do that either!!! hope that help u!!

So the BS-21's and BS-41's should be here Monday. Am I going to want the 41's in the rear or on the sides? What would give me the best sound based on how 7.1 works?
BS-41's should be the surround speakers and BS-21 surround back speakers.

What are your front 3 speakers? I assume FS-51 and C-21?

Yep. Got I had the FS-51's for awhile, and had them hooked up to my record player. Ended up hooking them up to the surround receiver. They sound great. So great that I went and ordered the C-21 on Thursday, and the others on Friday. biggrin.gif

What is the best wall mount for the BS-21s? I wanted one that has a tilt feature as they will be pretty high up near my projector and wanted them angled downwards towards the seating area.

Also, by the end of the year I am likely going to swap out all these speakers and upgrade so if possible I'd like to reuse that mount for another bookshelf speaker.

thanks

Considering a pair of FS51s (and perhaps the center and bookshelves) for family room music/movie use. Currently have JBL N26s in use for front and surround, and a JBL N-Center (along with a sub).

Wondering how the FS51 and BS21 compare to the N26 as a small theater speaker.

I understand what you mean very well. You gave a good description. What you say about the t45 "shouting at you" is why I am interested in the Infinity IL40. Good reviews say they are VERY transparent, not like shouting. The good reviews I've read say similar things about the IL40's like the FS52's. If I can get just as good a speaker, for a little less money, and better looking (FS52's look cheap IMO), then I'm going to get them. I go to listen to the IL40's tomorrow morning, so wish me luck!

The speakers mounted on the wall at the front on top of the FS52's, what brand? Which mounting bracket are you using? I think I would like to do those type of speakers for surround, surround back after I do my 3.1 front set up.

anyone have a clean setup of the Pioneer BS-21 wall mounted. Most of the ones I've seen are rigged.

If I use the Pinpoint 40B mount below on the Pioneer BS-21s will I be able to reuse the same mount on Klipsch reference RB-41IIs?: The only issue with this mount is that it does not tilt more than 7 degrees.

The shelves, not the flower. They are 10"x10"x2".

This might not be what you were looking for. But my biggest suggestion for your setup is to do something about the reflection on the screen. And is the display as high as it looks?
can i install the 52s above the subwoofers or the vibration or anything else can cause problemes?

Looking to pair these speakers with a solid receiver.

I've seen GREAT deals on a Denon 1712, and yamaha rx-a810. Good deals on denon 2112, onkyo 709 and a number of pioneer including vx51.

Does it make the most sense to get pioneer because the speakers are pioneer? The best deals I saw within where i was hoping to spend though were the denon 1712 or Yamaha 810

Also, as of now I wasn't planning to have a sub. Contemplating getting the one in this set but don't have loads of space/cash right now. I don't want to miss the line from selling out though, and then wish I bought it

its not necessary to pair the receiver brand up with the speaker brand. so just get which ever receiver suits you best, not which brand matches.
the sub that comes with these speakers is not great, i would just hold off on a sub for now and save up for a better one down the road if you dont have the funds at the moment.
Dillsnik, go with whatever receiver you want. Matching speakers is important, matching the company who makes you electronics to speaker manufacturer is not. Just do your research and pick your favorite.
You can go without a sub but you will miss alot of sound. These speakers sound very good, but there are very few speakers that can reproduce the low frequencies that a sub can. I would not go with the Pioneer sub. I went with the Klipsch RW-12d from newegg. It is on sale for $299 right now and will make a huge difference as to how these speakers sound in your space. Even if you can't afford a sub right now, budget for one later. You won't be sorry.
