My home has a very open floor plan (but not conducive to installing new wiring) and I'm interested in installing several in-wall speakers in various places in the house; hallway, bedroom, bathroom, foyer, etc. I live by myself so I don't have a problem if speakers throughout the house all play at the same time. It won't disturb anyone.
What I'm looking for is a wireless in-wall speaker setup that I can use electricity in the wall to power them. I've looked at the Amphony wireless transmitter/receivers http://www.wireless-speaker-kit.com/ but they are made to be plugged into an electrical outlet, not to live inside the wall.
Is there a wireless in-wall solution I can incorporate that is completely contained in the wall, amplifier and everything? I could buy the amphony devices and rig it in the wall, but I'm sure that would definitely be against code, so I don't want to do that.
