Mitts said the TV was not worth fixing they offered me a great discount on a 65838; I asked if I could apply the discount to a 73838 they said ok. I did not have an extended warranty. This was one of the best customer service experiences I have had with any company, no yelling on my part, no asking speak to a supervisor, just customer service as it should be.
Things do not last forever and things sometimes break before they should. From my perspective I do not expect perfection; I do however expect a company to stand behind it's product make reasonable accommodation. Mitts more than lived up my expectations
I HAD a WD-52725 that died 2x, had 5 bulbs in 6 years, not to mention the TV was pretty much unwatchable 3.5 of those years. anyways, for 7 weeks today I've been going back and forth. Their customer service is anything but quality! Don't get me wrong I'm stoked about getting a new 73740! but it's been a battle!!!!!! 7 weeks, no tv, no tracking onthe tv they've had my money over a week now... no communication unless i call. I went to my local mits dealer where I bought my 1st tv they were going to work with me if I could get mits be game.. well they just wouldn't work with me.. so again, been 7 weeks no tv, and I've had to throw 4k in the dumpster 2 weeks ago
.. I can't tell you how many times I heard "my super will call you with 1 biz day" and THEY DON'T! I call.. I've been hung up on and just been dealing with nothing but bs... hell, it took a week for them to email me EMAIL me the correct confirmation of replacement letter. I mean each time it was we'll send it within 1 business day.. nothing, I call i rant i rave, nothing..emailed me the wrong letter 3 times!!!!! If thye weren't giving me this 73" tv for 500 + 200 in shipping I'd never deal with this company again... sad too.
I'm really pissed about this whole situation from my tv dieing 2x the 1k in bulbs etc.. nothing but crap!
