The last time I tried SoftTH was about 6 years ago, It didn't do what we need for Dual projection. I haven't tried it recently though.
But even if you somahow could configure it to emulate Eyefinity and make 3D drivers work on top of it, I don't think SoftTH would work because it's a software layer above the GPU driver layer.
What we need is to synchronise outputs by less than one frame (this means synchronizing the front buffer output scanning) : this is deep control at the hardware layer. This feature is only available for professional cards (Nvidia Quadro, AMD Firepro) for marketing reasons. (and it's a simple as a checkbox in the AMD control center and Nvidia control panel, which only appear if the drivers detects you are using a professional card)
Remember : the Eyefinity trick is a trick, it works under very specific conditions (identical hardware, identical plug, identical resolution, identical settings for both outputs, and enable the "Eyefinity" display grouping mode). If you stray out of these conditions, the graphics card switches back to managing the outputs separately and breaks the sync.
There are plenty of applications (not only games) designed for dual projectors, none is able to control sync. Whenever I use these applications in dual-projectors mode, the sync is random and it fluctuated depending on the CPU and GPU load, because they all assume that the graphics card keeps the output in sync.
If somehow you have any hope : i'll kill it by remembering you how many years iZ3D failed to make it's 120Hz mode work, desperately trying to make a shutter glasses system work. They couldn't do it until AMD provided it's quad buffer. Sync is really something you cannot access on consumer cards.
I think this software requires a Matrox graphics card.Edited by BlackShark - 2/14/13 at 5:29am
