Hello Folks, I ran into a problem with my Sony KDL-46NX810 yesterday...
Well, When I turn on the TV it goes from "Stand-by" Red to Powered on "Green" after which it usually it illuminates the "SONY" logo below the frame and then states "SONY" on screen and I go about my business with entertainment... not anymore
The TV just shuts itself off after the "SONY" illuminated logo powers up fully and I don't even get anything on screen anymore. The Green Powered On goes back to Stand-by, however it does flash about 5 times, a break then 5 times again, over and over. The results I've found during research states the following for my "blinking" error code:Five blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.
What does any of the above mean? I suppose I have an issue with my video of some sort? I've called Sony and they stated its a power failure of some sort. Now, I forgot to mention that when this occurs, the TV unit accepts no more inputs after this happens... I mean I can't push on power to turn it back on from the remote, nor from the TV unit itself. I realized when I turn off the Energy saving switch and back on, it's almost a "reboot" for the TV as I can try turning the TV on again, Actually this is the only way I can "Try" turning it on about two or three times before it accepts no inputs again. Unplugging the unit also has the same effects. Please help me!!!
