Clark Synthesis Tactile Transducers?

Where's the best place to buy the Clark Synthesis Tactile Transducer?
http://www.smarthome.com/8248.html

Also, anyone know how the large and small units compare? I'm tempted to buy the smaller unit since it's less than half the price.

Thanks,
Bryan

I don't know what application you need the transducer for, but I have Aura bass shakers mounted under my sofas. They are designed for car use but work well for home. I got them on the internet for $50 each, and they ROCK!! All my guests love them. And for when my daughter is asleep, I can turn off the subwoofer and turn up the shakers so I still get the feel without the house shaking. They are hooked up the the LFE output and powered by a unused receiver I had. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to shake your body in home theater, take a look at these. Smarthome has them but you can get them cheaper from other places.

Bryan:

I have a 329 that I purchased this summer. I have two svsubwoofers coming before Christmas....these may give me the same "effect." Bottomline: I maybe selling my Clark.

Ron, I have been interested in the Clark units as well as the Buttkicker and would consider buying your Clark if you decide to sell. You can e-mail me at lin48056@aol.com Thanks Randy

I have tried all four of the bass shaker units: The Aura, Aura Pro, Buttkicker and Clark Synthesis. I use The Clark Synthesis Platinum via a AudioControl Phase Coupled Activator and the Aura Pros via an AudioControl Richter Scale EQ - these are fed a 1--hZ signal from my Yamaha A-1. I have a Behringer Ultra Bass Pro on the way to continue the experiments.

You can read my Clark Synthesis review at Http://www.audioenz.co.nz

Here are some more links to a Bass Shaker FAQ and comparison chart.

I must apologize if anyone has sent me an email. The address in my profile is outdated. My new address is rboster@fna.com. I'll be receiving my 2nd svsubwoofer tomorrow. I'll take the weekend to test everything out....
then make my decision to keep or sell the Clark.

Thanks
