^ Not to mention the shot itself is just horrible. The body position, the facial expression, the lighting... He looks like a drunk trying to hold himself up.

This does not invigorate my desire to see a new Superman movie.

Wow, I wanna thank you guys for letting me know I'm supposed to hate this. I've been geeking out about it all afternoon, and discussing how cool it looks with another guy I work with. Personally I think the more textured look works in the real world a lot better than bright red and blue spandex, but what do I know?

Oh, and while I agree Laurence Fishburne as Perry White is an odd choice, I also think it's a brilliant choice!

Isn't Superman's costume made from the blankets that his parents provided him when they shot him off Krypton?

Why should Kryptonian fabric look the same as Earth fabric? Wasn't Krypton like hundreds of thousands of years more advanced than Earth is? But their fabric should look like Spandex?

Yes, the famous rubber blankets of Krypton. Snyder's film is the first to replicate this authentically. The red blanket was especially large (see endless cape in pic).

The best Superman costume can be found in Superman III.



This stupid "update to the new fashion" costumes are just killing these movies. I also didn't like the "mecha" Batman look of The Dark Knight, either.

What a joke, that costume is so lame. WTF are they doing to this great franchise? Looks like a straight to video movie or TV movie of the week. Btw, looks like the Fonz had a son. There is no way in hell those images are official and make it to the final cut...no way jose. It will crash and burn big time. I bet they're just in prelims.

eSupes' costume was supposed to have been knit by his mom (in every version of Supes I've followed) out of the fabric that covered him in the rocket that came from Krypton. It's supposed to look like earth fabric.

This costume makes him look like Aquaman from the Jersey Shore.

The cape actually might be an improvement, particularly for flying sequences. But the rubber fishscales on the costume have to be toned down. A lot of it looks ripped off from Thor's design.
