LOL - the only thing you wonder about at the beginning of his movies is:

How many explosions?
What will the body count be?
Where is the car chase located and what's he driving?
How many gravity defing fights are in the movie?

Not all his movies...just most of them. Just the job he's offered am pretty sure...wouldn't you? Or would you pretend that your artistry is better than money? LOL!

Miller: John Wayne was a fag.
All: The hell he was.
Miller: He was, too, you boys. I installed two-way mirrors in his pad in Brentwood, and he come to the door in a dress.
(from Repo Man).

He pigeon holed himself. But that's about all his acting skills can handle . . . 1 character . . . with no depth.

No actor pigeon holes himself...the guys that pay him to repeat things over and over do that along with the audience who the producers want to please. You didn't like Snatched at all? Depth? What, Pacino has depth?

I gotta admit I had thought Statham had a pro football career but that appears to be only his buddy Vinnie Jones' thing from doing a little wiki reading. He was quite the diver though and athlete. Vinnie is also pigeonholed, and that partly comes from his reputation from football from what I know (my friends from England have told me as much at least). Some athletes do well as actors, as do many comedians. Some actors just don't do as well with only an acting background...

Ouch. This is going to be one of his lowest grossing films to be released theatrically.

Safe, directed by Boaz Yakin and starring Jason Statham, debuted to $7.7 million after receiving a B+ CInemaScore. Safe, distributed by Lionsgate, was fully financed and produced by IM Global.
