Love it!

Oops, I did another thread talking about this. My bad.

I'm super excited about seeing the NBA in 3D. I think it's an ideal type sport for 3D, and it should end up being one of 3D's killer apps. I can't wait for December 17th. I do wish they were going to do more games than they are doing, but I guess we just have to be thankful for what measly content we are getting right now.

While watching last nights Cuse game they advertised the Knicks christmas day game so I'm sure its still going to be on, but to be honest watching the Cuse game last night was down right horendous ghosting at times!! I had to switch to the 2D HD broadcast, & I adjusted the settings all over trying to get a watchable picture but just wasn't happening, btw my 3D Bd's are flawless very little to no ghosting at all on nearly every title watched

DViper - you're right about ESPN3D. Their PQ is very random - sometimes great (VT/FSU football game) and sometimes horrible (Jimmy V Classic).

Then again, ESPN's 2D PQ is usually horrible compared to CBS.

ESPN and ABC broadsast almost all/if not all events at 720p/60fps instead of at 1080i/60 (30fps) in order to reduce the amount of motion blur associsted with fast moving content. This is also why ESPN-3D is broadcast at 720p TnB 3d format instead of at 1080i/30fps.
With many 3D TVs you have to tell them that the content is at 720p TnB with ESPN-3D otherwise the TV may try and display at another HDMI 1.4a format which would cause extreamly poor if not unwatchable 3D content.

When I tried adjusting different settings during the Syracuse bball game I turned the 3D autoview off, & the broadcast was SbS not TnB

Anyone by any chance in Orange County CA with a 3D set and an NBA fan ? Would love to check out even just a few minutes of a game to see what's it like. I'm in Irvine CA.

Thanks,
Jesse
