I'm in agreement with you. My movie is also dark and yellowish. My standard dvd is a much better copy. I 'm not sure if its because, I don't have the latest upgrade to my player Sony Bd-S350. I'll be updating it soon and try the movie again...........
+1. My firmware was updated last week (Panny BD65) to v1.6 but this was a major disappointment comparing to recent 480p DVD release of Battleships or Avengers. Even on high lamp did not help.
One of the few films that I triple-dipped but already gave away both the VHS and the DVD. Should have taken a look at Ralph's review before I wasted on this one.
To me, this movie has a lot in common with The Hobbit. Both are filmed spectacularly, and both feature a lot of running and chasing, then some killing, and then more running and chasing and killing. Beautifully executed, I'll give them that.
