NBA League pass on PS3

We got the mlb.tv native app, any news on if the NBA will do teh same thing? I'd buy it if i could watch all the games in HD on the PS3 since I have Fios and they only have 1-2 games a night in HD.

I clicked on this thread hoping there was breaking news that the NBA & Sony made a deal similar to how MLB is setup on PS3 right now

Honestly just my experience with MLB.TV streaming for a month compared to NBA League Pass Broadband for a full season last year.

The NBA is light years away and their service needs serious improvements on both the broadband & TV NBA League Pass services they offer. I also had NBA League Pass on TV for about 4 years before I had to go with the NBA League Pass Broadband service last year because AT&T U-Verse currently does not offer NBA League Pass or even NBATV

Comparing MLB.TV to NBA League Pass Broadband:

-MLB.TV offers a package that lets you watch game streams in HD. NBA League Pass Broadband or the TV version gives you no games in HD which is a joke. Considering other sports pacakges like NFL Sunday Ticket offer all games in HD both TV package & Internet stream package.
-NBA League Pass broadband also does not allow you to watch games that are shown on NBTV. Even if your favorite team is playing out of the home market & region. So for example if your a Laker fan like myself and NBA League Pass broadband is your only option and you don't get NBATV also and say the Lakers are on the road and the game is voted in for the Tuesday night "NBA Fan Night" game to be shown on NBATV your screwed and can't watch that game on NBA League Pass Broadband.

Yeah, the whole basketball viewing thing is disjointed. A game for my team can be on one of six different stations, and I can't ever watch them play on NBA TV or NBA League Pass (i.e., over the internet) because of blackout rules.

I am looking at buying the broadband pass this year anyway, but that would be a great idea. Their blackout rules suck and will probably keep me from doing it, though. You pay for that pass, you should get EVERY game, no blackouts.

They won't do that because of cable contracts. If I could get all Laker games and playoffs with the NBA Pass, I'd literally drop my cable subscription (or get the bare $20 basic package).

If I get NBA League Pass TV (which includes the Broadband), can I watch a game on my tv PLUS log into my broadband account to have a different game on? Basically, my buddy doesnt have cable and was going to get the broadband pass. Im buying the TV pass that comes with Broadband Pass (that I wont use). So, if we go halfers, would that work?

Don't think that would work but never hurts to try.

I'm not buying league pass this year for the first time in about 5 years. No HD!? What year are we in again? Gimme a break!

There are sites online that don't require any credit card authorization that have every game for free that won't be in HD either. I'm not paying $100 for substandard technology.

Hopefully enough fans will do as I do and that will send a message to the powers that be.
