I am planning on putting up a 100" SI BD screen, but can't decide between .8 and 1.4. There will be some ambient light, but most of my viewing will be at night. Are you giving up any advantages by going with the 1.4? They say 1.4 is more for multi-purpose rooms and .8 is more for light controlled rooms.
Thanks in advance.
The mount that comes with the unit does have a 5-6 inch extension
so you should be fine mounting the screen material 19 inches from the ceiling using the lens shift...
Since you are ceiling mounting go with the Pro Cinema,
the cable cover on the back makes for a very clean install.
and you need a mount so makes sense
as for the SI BD Screen for your type of room
go for the .8 gain,
It will offer a more richer deeper colour vs the 1.4
and has less sparkle effect
