Step 2) Buy an external housing, should only cost about $25, install the internal burner into the new housing.
Step 3) Enjoy the low price and burn away.

In your case, though, the money is already spent, it's not likely enough to cause missed mortgage payments and starvation, just enjoy what you've got.
