There is nothing out there that is going to make this any faster because I only have so much upload capacity. Doesn't matter if it's a torrent, usenet or newshosting. The torrent isn't slow because so many people are downloading. It's slow because I have very limited upload capacity. 46gigs might take, for example, 4 days for me to upload. That doesn't matter if it's to a torrent (where several people get just a portion) or to usenet where only one location gets the whole upload.
Once I've performed a complete upload of this torrent, this thing will take off like hotcakes. Within 2 hours of my completion most people will be able to download this at full capacity of their ISPs download streams. With version1, as soon as I was done seeding I shut off my seed. I wanted to see how fast the torrent would be if I were to download it and it came in at 2.3MB/s per second which is approximately my 20Mb service from my ISP. At those speeds the torrent would be complete in just a few hours. The torrent likely would be even faster than that.
The speed doesn't suffer because there are multiple people currently downloading. There is minimal redundancy because I'm doing what is called an "initial seed". Initial seed makes sure that I don't waste bandwidth by sending the same data to multiple users.
