I saw this tonight at our fall HEMI meet in canton, mich.
Great demo disc, I have rev1 and like the adds/changes rev2 has.

Btw, I have a ps3, but am clueless how to download the file to it.
The ps3 is on a wired network, so any help on how to do it much appreciated.

Download ps3 media server. Download all of the files for the 2.0 disc. Tell ps3 media server where the m2ts files are on the hard drive of the computer. Open ps3 media server and then turn on your ps3 you should see the media server in the movies menu and you should be able to see the file folder that you stored your files in and open the files. It may take several minutes for the files to show up on the ps3 menu.

Of course there are almost always hiccups, but this works rather well for me. Report back with any problems.

Thx, I have iMac 27" with i7 and OsX 10.6.8, just downloaded ps3 media server and in process of downloading 46.18GB of files...
[edit] took 8h 56m for the download, now I'll try it later today in the HT.

I can access the individual clips, but not a menu structure....can I do that with the PS3 and what I've downloaded or only the individual clips?

That I don't know. I have not tried. I just renamed all the clips so I would know what they are.

That THX clip is really cool. I think I have all the THX clips but I did not have that one. The bass flowers are the best!

What a about a vote for the best LFE, Surround and Visuals-Clip on the Disc?

Not tried it after the recent firmware update, but the disc played fine for me when last tried it with menus working fine.

Will have a try and see if it still works on latest firmware when get home

Just wanted to drop a personal thanks to scubasteve: awesome disk- very well done.

2nd...be mindful of your label application on your bds if you're not already.

I was having a HELLUVA time getting LFE and visual clips playing on mine on 3 different players until I finally removed the slightly off-centered label and then all was perfect. Viola!

I'd guess the weight of the label was just enough to throw it out of whack while rotating and jacking up the data stream.

You are still printing on paper labels and attaching them to DVDs/BDS?

That method dies years ago when printer manufacturers, specifically Epson, produced Ink Jet printers that printed directly onto the media and blank media was produced very cheaply that had ink jet printable coatings.

Save yourself a lot of grief and get a printer that will print on media directly. I recommend the Epson Stylus Photo R800 (8.5x14) and the Epson Stylus Photo R1800 (13x19). Both produce professional quality prints (which I need) and print on media.

Both of those printers have been replaced with newer models, so you should be able to find either of those printers real cheap.

...and just a side note: after all of those amazing LFE clips and everything else I've seen/heard...war of the worlds is still the reigning all-time champ of teeth-chattering, pant-waving, fantastically appropriate, earth-moving LFE.

So I Googled "no Bluray burner + Paypal + I want this disc," and I was directed here.

Anyone in NJ (or anywhere really) willing to let me load the files onto an external harddrive? I'm getting a blu-ray burner but Comcast is on the verge of throttling my connection. As much as I'd like to stick it to Comcast, I don't want my speeds to get any slower than they already are.

Where in NJ? I've even created an ISO out of it to easily from from my Popcorn Hour. It would be easy for you to burn the ISO image to a disc once you get your burner.

Burned to BD-RE and played without issue.

I just burnt a copy using a Maxell BD-R DL 50Gb disc without the 102% issue (no formatting).

Maybe there was a batch of Maxell discs which needed to be formatted before they would show 99% in IMGBURN.

And just how do you format a write-once disc?

In IMGBURN, go to Tools>Drive>Erase Disc>Full.

Not on a BD-R (what you said). Only on a BD-RW (probably what you meant).

Do you have to use IMGBURN? My ASUS BD-Writer came with CyberLink Power2Go-7 suite. Can I use that? If so, any instructions?

Also on another note, I did NOT do my homework well and only bought 25Gb disks. The 50's show up tomorrow. Can I just delete enough of the .m2ts files and get a partial? Was thinking today I'd burn a part 1 (0-45) and a part 2 (46-95).

LASTLY, is everyone else "missing" 00047.m2ts in the STREAM directory?

Want to understand the software with the drive and the process a bit more. I'm really MORE interested right now if I can easily split this into 2 25Gb disks so I can "play" today. House is EMPTY and it's raining!

Yes, you can split, but be aware of which clips correspond to which *.m2ts, because if you make a selection that's not on that particular disc, your player may freeze up. Also, there's also a possibility that the disc(s) may not play at all because of missing items in the file structure. (ie mpls and clpi come into play here)

You may have to reauthor, using Multiavchd, to "blank" those *.m2ts's. Won't take long but may not be worth the effort if the BD-50's are coming tomorrow.

There is no 00047.m2ts on the disc.

I've already made one coaster I added the missing directories from the ZIP, copied the BDMV and CERTIFICATE directories to the compilation, deleted .m2ts's 46 and up from the STREAM directory, burned it to the BD-R with Power2Go, and popped it in my PS3. I get the nice "picture logo living room" selection on the main menu but when selected it processes for awhile and then fails. I was wondering if removing the corresponding files from the PLAYLIST would fix this. At $0.75 per coaster, not all that concerned but certainly don't want to spend too much more time because, as you reminded me, the BD-RE DL's are arriving tomorrow! Just a rare "play day" at my house today!!!!!

How does one obtain the torrent link to download the demo disc? Sorry, I've been gone from the thread (and this forum) for some time, only just now checking in again. I checked the first post in the thread to see if it'd been edited with the info, but didn't see it?
