Setup CIFS/SAMBA Sharing and copy the files over the network from the old drive attached to the PC to the new drive in the PCH.

There are other techniques but IMO thats the easiest and should be produce the best results.

Ive been doing a lot of reading on this subject of late. Seems if the PCH does the formatting it wont got any higher than 2.19 TB. I would have to format it in my Windows 7 machine in the NTFS format, then transfer movies over, and then install in the PCH. Thanks Sean.

OK sounds good.

NOTE: then you will need another storage device formatted EXT3 to use for BD ISO playback.

You don't need to have NMT Apps but for BD ISO playback you do need some form of EXT3 formatted storage and since you are using NTFS for your HD it doesn't satisfy this requirement.

hope this helps.

Whoa, that just threw me for a loop. I haven't read that anywhere. BD ISO playback will only work if the internal hard drive is formatted EXT3?

My external hard drive is formatted NTFS and when connected to the PCH it has no issues playing back BD ISOs. Do you know why the requirement is different for internal hard drives as opposed to external hard drives?

Maybe I'm incorrect but mine will not playback BD iso's with menus etc with some external storage. Other devices I have tried always expect that storage to be EXT3. If its working for you be happy.

Sean - Thanks for posting the screenshot. Combined that and your xml file, using that as an example, I'll model a similar layout of the xml file - using my own folder structure.

As recommended, I will also download ember media manager to address the filenames etc.

As I get more and more comfortable with YAMJ and its configuration, I might take other 3rd party jukeboxes for a spin as well. I'm guessing there shouldn't be an issue using multiple jukeboxes, providing each index.htm (or similar) is in its respective folder.

Weekdays can get tough to tinker with this hobby - good thing the weekend is right around the corner.

Cheers,

Good luck. I have tried all the jukeboxes and always come back to YAMJ. Its just more feature, more robust and more supported. Glad everything is working for you.

Watched 2 movies last night after updating to the latest eversion and all is well.

Weird. I used DVDFab to only copy the main movie and the 30 or so BD ISOs I have play back just fine using the A-200 and YAMJ. It was suggested on the NMT forum to try formatting the HDD with GParted and ext3. Seems to give the best results so I might go that route. Once again, thanks for your help.

It is out, that is what NMJ is
oh thanks, Didn't know that , I was hoping there would be a way to sort by recent files like my Boxee does.
Not sure if this is the right forum or not.

I have been having issues lately with title scraping on my movies using moviejukebox. I have had several titles come back with IMDB in the title with all the movie info missing. The weird thing is the cover art is correct, but all the info is missing. For example, the movie 300 come back with "IMDB -300" for the movie title.

Has something changed? Do I need to make a setting change?

Update:
Apparently there was a change which caused jukebox to not scrape correctly. This has been corrected in most recent version.

cool glad you got it figured out.

Nope but you can in YAMJ with no problems. it can even startup in that view if you wish.

Hey all,

is anyone using PCH as their music jukebox as well, and if so, what are your recommendations ?

I'm in the process of ripping my CD collection into FLAC. Majority of music will be in that format. The rest will be in MP3.

Is there anything similar to YAMJ for cataloging, scraping metadata, fan art, cover art for music ?

thanks,
I haven't tried it, but this jukebox seems the most popular.

Brajesh - Thanks. I checked out the suggestion, definitely worth looking into further.

Cheers,

Hey Guys,

Sorry, if I have missed reading this somewhere, if already posted but I'll ask..

I have an MKV file encoded with DTS MA track.

The popcorn hour's audio configuration is set as following:

HDMI audio = on, rest, all are set to passthrough yet I don't hear any audio.

My audio gear is definitely capable of handling DTS MA and Dolby Digital TruHD. It is marantz AV7005. I will post this question in that forum as well

what am I missing ?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Is it this way whenever you play a dts ma movie or only on a select few? Can it play ddtruehd audio movies, ie you hear audio? Are you sure you have right audio track selected on the pch? Have you tried a reboot of the pch?

stepmback / Sean,

Thanks for troubleshooting checklist.

--using HDMI cable for audio - not toslink: check (HDMI in use)
--verify audio streams by pressing the 'audio' button on PCH remote: check (no additonal audio streams)
--use DDTruHD file to see if audio can be heard: check (no audio heard)

--Cold reboot of the PCH did the trick.

DTS-HD then played in its full glory. I was amazed how rich and full(er) it sounds compare to standard DTS.

Guys,

Received PCH 200 and it set up and recognized my media over my network great. Problem I am having is with yamj. I tried to start with just one movie; Four Brothers. this is how I have it saved: in yamj select directory: C:\\Users\\JE\\Videos\\Four Brothers.mkv. I then click the oval option "my videos are on network path... enter ip address and all seems good. The NMT path changes automatically to read : file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/Network Path/Users/JE/Videos/Four Brothers.mkv/.

So, does the above look correct? Next, yamj asks where do I want the jukebox to be stored. I then find the above folder and hit add. When I do that A warning pops up: Possible path error... visit yamj, yes/no/cancel. I click no. It then asks to add a desription if I like for my entry and I click cancel. I then get the following: added to the library: Video path:c:\\users\\je\\videos\\four brothers.mkv. I then click ok . Of course I then go to the PCH 200 and my movie plays great but no yamj on my wall.

Am I doing something wrong, missing a step? Thank you for any help- this is my first pass at yamj.

Here is what my my_library.xml file looks like:

Code:

    \\\\\\\\MyServer\\Videos\\Movies Family HD
    smb://[=]MyServer/Videos/Movies Family HD/

    My Videos

    true

Where "MyServer" is the name of my server where my movies are stored and "My Videos" is the path name I have set up on the PCH

Thank you! Not to sound like a complete noob, but can you maybe break down your explanation a bit more, please? I am new to PCH and yamj.
Is my movie saved correctly as ; Four Brothers.mkv? I have this saved in a separate folder in my c drive under my videos. Struggling with this! Thxs

Just point to your videos folder, not a specific movie. That is part of the problem. Also, have you set up a share on your PCH and tested you can access your PC videos?

Damian,

FWIW... When I double click on my yamj to run the cmd command I get the following error" The system is not recognized as an internal or external command, program or batch file. press any key to continue. I do this and nothing happens.

Yeah, just posted. You should be pointing to your shared video folder and not a specific file. You should also confirm you have a working share set up on your PCH. I tried to cover setting up YAMJ here (hopefully it should still apply, ignore the Aeon part)
