EDIT #1: I respect and appreciate all the info I've received on why the 534 wouldn't be a good match for me. I've decided to take the gamble, though, because my speaker manufacturer and the Grant Fidelity site both say I should be fine...so it's worth the risk. I'll post back after I receive the amp to report success/failure...
EDIT #2: In case any one was wondering, my gamble paid off and the Yaqin MS-534 mated VERY well with my 91dB 6ohm speakers. I had every intention of adding an amp switch (because my DAC has dual outputs, so it would have been easy to wire) for when I needed to rock out with my FLACs out on my 110wpc receiver, or to re-list the Yaqin on classifieds if it was underpowered, but there's really no need as I can shake the walls with these tubes. Amp is very musical and detailed. No hissing, or static, which I was fearing from tubes. This was an upgrade in quality from my receiver, so while others may fault 300b for loose or lacking bass, I found it tightened up and improved a slightly
muddy bass that I was getting previously.Edited by JohnyBGood - 8/27/12 at 7:27pm
