This could be a strange question, but is there a program that I can download and have running on a computer that is connected to my tv that would give me information on weather, stocks quotes, etc, when I wake up in the morning? For example, I would at a business the other day and they had a tv up and in the center of the screen was updated headlines, to the right was stocks quotes, and at the bottom was the current and future weather. I was thinking it would be nice to have a program running that when I got up in the morning and turned on my tv to the "computer" channel, that I would get a layout showing me information like that.

Is that a strange request? Any ideas?

Media Center, XBMC, Media Portal?

I don't think any of those have it all in one screen, but Mediaportal can show both weather and RSS-feed in the home screen, and I think XBMC can do it aswell. Stock quotes I don't know though. Perhaps you could include it as an RSS-feed

The stock market doesn't open until 8:30 in my time zone, I've already gone to work by then.

Isn't that what desktop gadgets are for? I installed Stocks3 and Weather Bug. Or do you not want to use the desktop for some reason?
