That is good to hear. Were you playing blu rays from HDD, or discs? What if both movies are on the same HDD? (And what if that HDD is on USB?)

I have Mymovies 3.19 installed on my laptop and I have scanned all my videos. I have created a short cut for mymoves on the home screen of the dune which is really nice. I can browse all of my videos in mymovies but when i go to play one I get a "fail to open URL:" How can I configure this correctly. (I have all my media on a Nas) It seems the default is pointing to my server name. I know in other programs for the network share to work I have to edit the path, and change the server name to the server IP address. Is this also the case with the dune and mymovies. fyi I can play my videos fine through the dune interface. I have the index set up correctly on the usb share because i can browse all of the meta data on the dune through mymoves with my laptop off. Thanks for the help
post #303 of 939
Fixed needed to link it to the dune folder name I created and not the server.

For the users on the 4.0 Pre Release, we release a Pre Release 8, which now contains TV Series functionality for the Dune.

We would love inputs on that.

If I don't hear back from you today, I'll assume that you didn't make it.

Now all we need is TV support on the iOS apps and we are golden.

Thanks Brian for all your hard work.

How do you like it? I've been waiting for a one-stop solution like this. Now that MyMovies is getting full TV Show support for WMC, the Dunes HD streamer and hopefully IOS support, I may have found it. Dbone, will there be a full review in the future?

Well, I already did a writeup about My Movies 4, focusing specifically on TV Show support:

http://www.mediasmartserver.net/2011...-show-support/

I plan on doing an additional writeup in the coming days to discuss My Movies TV show support for the Dune, as well as look at a couple of additional features that have been added since

I only had a few minutes to play around with, but so far the TV Show support for My Movies works as expected. Some work can be done on the main menu (ie adding a separate TV Show icon) but everything is headed in the right direction

Yeah, I've read your My Movies 4 review at least three times already. Imagining what the iPad or DuneHD would look like with my TV shows on it instead of just movies. TV show support (including metadata for the episodes) has always seemed like an afterthought with most streamers or cataloging software. I like to collect and watch tv shows just as much as movies, in fact, I will tend to re-watch tv shows more times than movies, so tv episode support is important to me. If My Movies for the Dune and iPad can look one third as good as Mediabrowser, XBMC, YAMJ etc. I won't complain.

Off to download it! Very cool you added Dune support. I do wish I could get it to integrate better with my Boxee too.
How does it handle tv series when more than 1 episode is in an iso format? ie
Supernatural Season 1 episode 1 thru 4 (Supernatural S1 E1-4.iso) (for dune)

Well, Collection Management does create XBMC nfos which I believe the next firmware update for the Boxee Box, Boxee will support.
Yes, but I haven't seen anywhere that Boxee will respect it for TV. Anyway, enough of that . Back to Dune.

No sure what im doing wrong i have the tv series set up this way
TV SHOWS
SUPERNATURAL
SEASON 1
Supernatural s01e01-04.iso

Mymovies wont import the tv series.

I am testing out my movies and yadis, one thing i should note is when i import my titles to my movies it found information for maybe 2 of my movies. The rest came up as avchd, and wants me to manually select information for every movie.

Yadis pretty much found everything right away. What am i doing wrong.

Also I need 1000 points for movie art backdrops? Yadis they are free.

Since i have 0 this feature will cost 40 dollars?

My Movies is usefull particularly, if you use Windows Media Center. Outside of that case, you don't need it, as there are other free options. I personally like the flexability and ease of use of the Collection Management software as well as the overall stability combined with a large user base. My Movies has been around a long time and will probably be around for a long time.

TV support on the Dune is a little buggy. After the initial folder creation if you make any modification then the folders either disappear or there is no graphical icons anymore.

Anyone else seeing this?

Also, if you add the category of "TV" to the shows why don't the icons work in the "Categories" folder? I get the icons but they do nothing.

I haven't had a chance to test much on the dune, but hopefully throughout the week as I watch new shows

Hello-
Does anyone know how/where I can get the network codes for the Dune D1 player?

Thanks,

What do you mean by "network codes"? If you're talking about IP control of Dune, you can get the specs from HDI's IP Control spec.
If you are referring to your IP address then you have to go to network on the Set-up menu.

Thanks Scott.
Yeh, I have that. I am actually using my iPad as a remote using iRule and for the life of me cannot figure out the formatting it requires. I am actually working with another forum on this issue. A bit premmature on my part to post it in here.

Cheers

haha. Honestly, everything is working amazing with the exception of the IP control format that the Dune wants. Actually replaced my Pronto 9600 for this format and so far, no regrets...

I have used the Official Dune remote app but now the MyMovies iPad app and so far so good. The launching of movies via the iPad is probably the best feature that sets the MyMovie apps apart from the rest. This thing rocks!

Also use the My Movies app for iPad and play my movies directly from there. It is awesome.
I am just trying to integrate all devices into one universal remote set that is wife (err...family) friendly
