Hmm, I no longer need my CAL. I could sell them to you for a gooooood price. PM me if interested. They work well with DH, have plenty of bass, but are closed so they won't have that large soundstage.

I don't have my X41's anymore...I had the two year replacement plan on them from Best Buy and after having gone through 6 pairs in 9 months (literally) I finally said to myself "I'm sick of this" and took them back.

Shin CZ are you playing on the PS or a 360?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I played Star Wars (and most other games) on the 360. I tested out the 990s with Star Ocean 4 (International edition is only on the PS3).

I mostly do play on the 360, but fire up the PS3 for exclusives...

Oh, I have the old gen Mixamp, so I can't voice chat on the PS3.

Hit me up on live my g-tag's in my sig...I'm pretty nasty too...

Oh you mean COD? I haven't really played them lately after I sold my MW2. I still have CoD4, and preordered Black Ops on the 360.

One thing, I really only play FFA and at times TDM. I'd be useless in objective matches. XD
post #128 of 5201
Yeah all I play is FFA or Barebones...I'm not an objective player besides I can't stand trying to listen to what my teammates are saying it takes away from the audio and I can't focus and then I play like ****.

LOL. You sound like me. Thats why I like never use my MIC. I focus on the game audio completely. I will definitely hit you up. I dont have any stats on my 360 account for MW2, but I do have it for CoD4. I played MW2 on my gf's account Vinerstone...

Actually I think I did start playing MW2 recently with my account but it's like brand spanking new, and I rented it to test out a headset, lol. On topic ftw.

I got like a 2.88 on the PS3 in MW2, something stupid, and all FFA. I just kill, kill, kill.

I'm still wondering if for single and movies I should use K702 with a tube amp, get a CAL or buy in a future something like DT 990/600

If your intention with the tube amp and K702 is to give them enough extra bass to be happy, I don't think you'll hit the mark. A relatively neutral tube amp, even with bass-ier tubes, won't increase the bass THAT much. Not like EQ'ing or something, it's more subtle. Not to say you shouldn't buy one, but just a heads up not to expect a dramatic change in sound signature.

Haha yeah me too...my KDR was 4.45 on my old account until I accidentally joined a deranking lobby and lost all my stats. Now it's more like 2.00 on my new account but that's mostly due to me not really caring (I'm over MW2) and rushing with an Intervention which I'm not very good with. Give me an AK or any other assault rife or SMG or LMG for that matter & I'm shutting the **** down. Unless I'm playing with dudes like you and then that's a different story.

Yeah, I probably won't care too much in Black Ops, since there's so many new cool match types, which will undoubtedly make me do a lot of noobish things. I still don't EVER wanna do SnD, CTF, or that Bomb stuff. <_<
The one where you have to be the first to get a kill with every weapons sounds so fun, it's bound to **** up my stats! XD
post #133 of 5201
Yeah man wager matches are going to be the ****. Just the thought of laying currency out and having $$$ at stake just screams obsession. At least for me. Just remember it's just a game though and meant to be fun besides nobody gives a F about your stats except for you. Its not like you meet a hot girl in a bar or something and she can't wait to get home to rip your clothes off because you have a high KDR. If anything its actually probably the opposite.

Oh I definitely know that the only person who cares about my stats is me. Which is why it drives me nuts when I do bad. If I do bad it reflects on my skills. Since I'm a competitive person, my stats let me know how good I am or how bad I'm doing. I honestly WISH that the stat tracking was personal like it is in some games, where only I can view them. I do it to better myself, not to please others.

I like weekly or daily stats as public stat tracking. Overall stats just don't reflect someone's skills, as someone who did terrible for months could probably have godly stats in their most recent days or weeks of gaming.

This is of course not pertaining to everyone else's skills. I have seen people with super low stats that would mop the floor with me. I'm sure most of you would do a lot better than me in teams and objectives. I'm really not that good when I play with others compared to playing AGAINST others.

The wait for my E9 is driving me nuts. I wanna use my DT990s effing sooooo bad right now. I wanna rent MW2 and test them out all week with it.

That's never happened to you? A high win/loss ratio usually gets them wet too. Chicks dig stats! And gaming headphones. I wear mine every time I go to the bar.

I'll be interested to see what you think. I think they sound great...a little tighter fit than I would of liked but seemingly starting to loosen up around my head as I posted earlier. Shin CZ how do those AKG's for...they seem like they would probably fit something like the AD700's am I correct with that statement? Those lime green Quincy Adams editions are giving me a hard-on. PS I got your friend request on live so when Black Ops comes out we'll get in some games together and freakin' rape...maybe they'll have some kind of 4 on 4 TDM or something like in MW2. Any more than teams of 4 and I can't hear ****.
Do people still experience drive problems with K702's and a wireless mic? No mention of the wireless mic option. I usually just set my mic on the desk, chest.

The K701 and K702 are usually around the $250 range. The Quincy Jones line is gonna stay at around $400 for awhile I bet.

Since you're a lot like me, I would suggest one of these like RIGHT NOW. They are ****ing AMAZING for CoD games. Seriously.

And I'm gonna have to order a Califone mic soon, because until I get one, I'm stuck with the Creative Aurvana Live with the labtec mic attached. Not an issue whatsoever but I wanna be in 100% pure pwnage mode with my K701. I'm about 90% in pwnage with my CAL.

What do you mean exactly? And how do you use the K702? Mixamp? If so, I dunno if you added a desktop amp after the Mixamp, because if you didn't, the K702 will sound absolutely anemic and pathetic with voice chat mixed in on the Mixamp. You need a beefy desktop amp to power these babies AND voice chat.

I have no idea what your setting is, so I may be saying this for no reason, if so, disregard.

BTW, my E9 is scheduled to be delivered TODAY, but the tracking hasn't been updated since 10/31 so I have no idea where it's at. DAMN! This wait is killing me.

I kinda need a distraction right now...

Yeah...I may pick up a pair if I end up selling or returning my SennPC360's. They're literally brand new and I could probably sell them for what I got them for ($179) and somebody would be happy as a pig in ****. The ONLY thing that makes me even consider doing this is the comfort issue for me...not that they wouldn't be super comfy to almost anyone - I just have a big freakin head. They have been feeling better though these past two days but sometimes I've been known to game up to the 8-12 hour mark and need a headphone/set that you can't even tell you have on. As much as I think they're a ******** product the X41's did a good job at that.

Comfort-wise, the K701/2 is really comfortable AFTER the initial period of getting used to the headband's bumps.

Seriously, when I started using them I liked it, then really hated the bumps, and then the feeling just sort of went completely away with use. Now, I could wear them all day and not have one issue with the bumps.

I haven't heard the MDR-F1 yet, so I have to highly suggest the K701/2 for FPS gamers with the Mixamp. I have no doubt the F1 is more comfortable (going by the same style design as the Siberias that I have), if not extremely comfortable. Sound-wise, I'm gonna predict the K701/2 being better than the F1s, but perhaps not $100 better, which takes me back to what I always say: I REALLY wanna try the F1 out.

Yeah, I remember KBI posting that, actually. He's the one that wrote that. XD

He's the one that really makes me wanna try them.... >_<
I wonder if he's ever tried gaming with the K701/2 with Dolby Headphone.

I already love the sound off the AD700.
Honestly though it's the Beyers & the AKGs I really want to try.

I did order just the K702, no amp yet. I use regular sony head phones now. I plug them into the monitor. The monitor takes signal from XBOX via HDMI. I use the xbox wireless mic for voice chat in MW2. I select the option in the XBOX service menu to play voice over TV, so I get chat in the headphones.

Anyways, I notice when I capture games via HDMI BlackMagic intensity Pro, my voice does not show up in the captures? Maybe this means wireless voice won't affect the K702 headphones? Signal issue? I kinda wanted to get the astro or E9 but not both and see what I could get away with on the cheap.

How would you connect just the E9 to the XBOX? I don't think I need a mixamp as I use a wireless mic? Is the e9 5.1 SS?
