I use the evil sticks http://www.evilcontrollers.com/modde...s-mod-kit.html

How do the FPS Freeks help?

(Watch someone's going to bitch about getting off topic)

Clown if that's the case I'd definitely skip on those. TB X11's is what I think he's comparing them too and those are straight garbage. You might as well just save yourself the headache and get a better set of cans. Something quality.

I dunno, I like the amount of force needed for the default setting. I have been playing on the PS3 long enough to know that I HATE extremely sensitive analog sticks. I'll stick to what I'm good with,

I've played with the 'Tactical' button layout since COD4. It makes a helluva lot more sense to crouch with the stick rather than a button. Helps me aim and go prone at the same time too, lol. Didn't know that was taboo though. Been doing that since forever.

Kinda funny when I use semi autos and shoot fast though, I do it so fast that I accidentally click the right stick a lot and as I shoot my character constantly crouches and stands up. Funny to watch. I teabag air as I shoot my pistols. Until they patched the rate of fire, I mean...
On topic

Kinda having problems at home with the 'lady', so I need to save up some funds in case she bounces. Drama, drama. No more impulse buying headphones for me, lol.

I thought about returning the DT990s for the PC360 and pocketing the difference but that would be a downright travesty... I'm not getting rid of those...unless I could get a Manufaktur version which ain't happening unless I win the damn lottery.

Cool, though I know if they make the sticks more sensitive, I wouldn't like it. I'm of the type that likes things as they are, and don't wanna mess with what I know works for me. I can see sensitivity being good when you need to quickly turn around, but I almost always have my back relatively protected, and if I do get shot, it's usually too late to turn around anyway, As far as aiming though, I have zero problems lining up my shots with stock controllers and sensitivity. I DO have a problem aiming on the PS3 because of said analog sensitivity.

I can see this working for most people, but I know it wouldn't work for me.

lol... :P You said you are in love with those DT990/600, and now you are considering selling them for PC360 to save some cash?

You are cans-holic dude :P

I can buy those too apart from the CALs if you are selling them :P muahaha
post #367 of 5170
the fps freek adds precision by giving you a larger distance to travel while moving the stick from left/right or up/down.

basically you can make precise movement more easily at high sensitivity, but still have the freedom to flip around really quickly when you need to.

imagine racing in a car with 1 inch of pedal travel in the gas and the brake, and then racing in another car with full travel of the gas and the brake... fps freek is adding more travel to the stick.

No way dude. That would be a last resort. If I had no choice, I'd sell the K701 and DT990 (could probably end up with over 400 dollars there IF I did), and get the PC360 as my one solution. I'm talking about IF I'm REALLY hurting...

I'd rather not, as those two cans are the best things I have purchased for gaming.

I'd rather get the DT770/600 over the PC360 anyway. I find having a closed headphone more necessary anyways.

As for the CAL, I THINK Obazavil is taking them from me but it's not final yet. The E9 made me appreciate them even more. I haven't used them lately until I plugged it in to the E9 a few days ago. I'm still amazed at how they sound. Easily over $100 sound for less. The M50s are super popular at head-fi, and I can tell you that they sound 90% identical with the M50s being slightly more aggressive, while the CAL has more depth and soundstage, which work better for gaming. They both have some strong bass without smearing the rest of the sound.

I just want the DT770/600 as an upgrade to them...and I hear the DT770s do so well with gaming, which is why the MMX300 is pretty much a DT770/32 with a mic. I know the 770 Pro 80s are definitely the positioning god of headphones for me, and if the 770/600ohm are similar without the bloated bass, we have a serious winner.

HOLY COW!

Fiio E7 + E9 + L2 3.5mm cable = $169.58 w/free shipping!

http://mp4nation.net/catalog/index.p...roducts_id=458

That is a RIDICULOUS price for a Portable amp/dac + Desktop amp + L2 cable!

That's about $40 less than what I paid... (as I paid $130 for my E9 alone, and $80 for the E7 back when it was released....)

To all you guys who were holding out, this would be the time and place to get that now. It's insane to pass this up if you're even remotely interested.

Rest assured, that's probably the cheapest I've seen for a great solution to a dac AND portable amping/home amping...
damn... indeed, is VERY cheap.

I got the L7+L9 combo from micca for 200 overall (but I need to wait for their $30 refund after I order the item)

This deal is very, very good, since using micca, this whole combo costs $211.00 instead of $170

Micca has REALLY good customer service though. I know next to nothing about mp4nation.

E7 and E9
Is there anyway to be able to connect 3 to 4 pairs of headphones to the mixamp, i have many pairs and i don't like to constantly switch them

I was thinking the fiio e9 would be good due to having multiple inputs, i was going to order the behringer ha400 but on head fi i've read that the internals are cheap

any suggestions on a good amp or setup?

Wait...why? Shouldn't one or two at a time be enough? Hell I need one for multi, and one for single player (more fun), that's it...

Why would you need so many AT ONCE?

The E9's double input works fine as long as one is using a 3.5mm plug, the other a 1/4" inch...
Different Consoles,

Plus its just one less inconvenience

So is there anyway to do so?

Getting another Mixamp + 2 E9's? Kinda a lot just to not switch headphones... XD

Dude, that sounds like a lot more effort than just unplugging your headphones...
alright seriously....I've referred like 5 people to this dude with the PC360's in this past week alone - next time I need something I better get the HOOK UP! LMFAO!
Well I decided to try out the Razer Carcharias today from Best Buy while I wait for my PC 360's, and I'm pleasantly surprised.

I'm not an audiophile and haven't listened to Higher-end cans like the K702s, but coming from the A40's I've noticed quite an improvement. There is more bass, but not so much that it sounds muddy or drowns out certain sounds, in fact I'm hearing sound I never could w/ the A40's, it just has a beefy sound and doesn't sound hollow compared to the A40s. For $80 its a nice headset IMO.

However the build quality seems poor to me. I may just be paranoid, but it seems like it would be a problem down the road, and this is coming from someone who handles his toys with utmost care I think i'm gonna take them back when my PC 360s arrive.

Damn, if you prefer the Carcharias to the A40s (maybe I would too... RAGE! ), then I'm guessing you'll wet your pants once you get the PC360...

^I'm liking the sound of that lol

ClownBaby I got you PM but did you end up ordering them from homeboy?

Sadly I don't think I'll be able to order soon. I just found out I have to get a root canal to fix a cracked tooth
