Ya, mine work great also. I really like these and have moved to these exclusively. I also have the 5.8 mixamp with tb hpx, a-40's and senn pc360's. Having no wires is a huge plus for me. The sound is comparable also.

For those that care. Only 100 bucks, but the lack of Dolby probably makes them a non-starter for most on this board.

I wonder if its the same drivers/amp as the warheads? If that's the case, this might be all I need.
Meh, nevermind, looks like the mic is still wired.

Got some pretty negative reviews on amazon about static and bad sound....this may not bode well for the warheads....perhaps that's why they're still vapor?

I see tb is showing dual band headsets at ces 2.4 and 5 ghz.

Wonder if that's why Tritton's taking so long on the Warheads(maybe they're moving towards the dual-band as well)?

This is weird I would think Tritton would preview their next 2 upcoming headsets as Gamestop has had these since Dec. 27th in stores. I wrote a mini write up on my experience with them like 2 pages back. Quick Summary- wireless works well with minimal interference, comfortable, sleek looking( I gotta emphasize this cause they really looked pretty good) and sound better than expected.
They do still have a wire going to the controller and they are not around the ear they are on ear phones. The latter being why I returned them and am waiting for the Devastators. I dont need the dolby of the warheads as I just used my mixamp to the wireless base station of the Primers and it worked great.

This week at CES, Turtle Beach will introduce its lineup of gaming headsets for 2012, including four new console and PC products, as well as three new mobile-focused solutions.

For the Xbox 360, the company has announced the X42 and X32 wireless gaming headsets. The X42 is Dolby Surround Sound-enabled, while the X32 is stereo. Both utilized 2.4Ghz and 5GHz dual-band wireless connectivity which actively searches for the clearest audio channel. Both sport 50mm drivers for improved low-end response and tonal balance. The X32 will retail for $99.95, while the X42 will cost $159.95.

Next, there's the Ear Force DSS 2 Surround Sound Process, which is a standalone surround sound audio processor that will retail for $79.95. For PC users, there's the Ear Force Z11 Wired Stereo PC Gaming Headset, which offers basic stereo audio for $39.95.

Finally, the company introduced a suite of audio solutions for mobile gaming, including the Ear Force M5 and M3 Gaming Headset and M1 Mobile Gaming Earbuds. All sport integrated microphones for hands-free voice calling when used with smartphones.

Not right now. but when i do, then the hpx would be first. I've been considering putting a headphone amp in my rack and having headphones at each sitting position in my theater.

Razor makes good stuff...check out reviews on Amazon that would be your best bet. Most of us on here use Sennheiser PC 360s which are a sure bet...PM me if you want the contact info for a reputable authorized dealer who can give you a good price on em.

I have a wireless Senneheiser headset that has no mic, so I have to shove my wired Xbox mic next to the headphones, needles to say, not ver comfy. Anyone know of a peripheral that attaches to existing headphones so I can add a mic and dedicated voice channel to my headphones??

What about the wireless 360 mic? Is that small enough to wear and then put a headset over it??

I know the easiest thing would be to just buy a pair of turtle beach headphones, but $100 is kinda steep

Dug a little deeper into this thread and found the ModMic peripheral....

Anyone use this with success?

OK, so I think I may have found a solution to my dilemma.

I am using my Senneheiser wireless headphones, they sound great.

I want to add a mic and voice chat channel to the headphones.

I am think about purchasing this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...A3E5K6GEFSI075

Then I would plan to use my iPhone headset as my mic/chat speaker:

http://www.buyincoins.com/images/rev...1-IMG_1797.jpg

I would put one earbud on and then put the Senneheisers over them.....

I would use this cable to plug into the 360 adaptor:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...A3SPLR0MSOYZ8O

OR!!!!

Do I just get this and circumvent all that above:

I think if you're asking if you should buy three different connections for a solution or just get the one connection for the solution... that answers itself.

Ya, but I read through the intrawebs that the xbox connector isnt a simple 2.5mm jack, making that one solution dongle a risk. There were no reviews on that website.

Anyone here used that dongle before?

I don't know if anyone has seen these, but they're just announced at CES

*edit* they're going for $99

Electronics Expo is selling the Denon D7000 "new in open box" (apparently they open the box just to mark them at a lower price to sell), for $585 through Amazon's listing.

I couldn't pass it up...

Rebadged Beyer MMX300s if anyone is interested in something "different". Same price, different color scheme, that's about it.

also is the sound from the headphones kept in the headphones or does the sound bleed out a bit in the room, my wife wants as little sound to bleed out as possible

I have giftcards/rewards credit I'm using so this is only purchased at Best Buy

You found the Tritton AX720 bass heavy? Has there been some update to the sound signature of the AX720's when they did the redesign?

And to those inquiring about the deltas, from my experience with the PX5's, I did get slight popping/crackling. I didn't have full on sound drop, but it wasn't as clean as the Astro Mixamp 5.8 signal
post #4137 of 5440
I would call the AX720s bass heavy compared to the PC360s. Overall I would not call them bass heavy. I find the 720s sound signature to be pretty good for gaming. I prefer a gaming headset to have less bass than normal so I can pick up the game sounds more easily. This is why I like the open design of the 360s over the closed of the 720s.

I could see someone calling the 720s bass heavy if they didn't have a good point of reference. If you only listened to TV speakers and the such the 720s would seem to have a lot of bass. Since many here on AVS have some nice HT setups, that isn't usually the case. It is sometimes easy to forget that most people don't have large subwoofers in their homes or speakers that can approach 20-30hz.

Does anyone have the delta set up? How well is the surround sound on them?

I got a set when they went on sale a couple weeks ago at amazon. At least the set I have, the surround sucks. There is no surround sound at all. No matter the source or material, it is only a barely enhanced stereo sound.

Previously I was using the wired astro mixamp and pc350's or hd 555's. The mixamp (my third) started having issues yet again (noted a few pages ago) and I wanted to give the delta's a try. The total wireless aspect was a draw for sure.

Well, as stated, they do not provide any surround at all. Connected to the ps3 with the sound settings as optical only and dolby the only option checked (tried all however) with the transmitter showing dolby output (not PLIIx) there is only an enhanced stereo image coming out. This is the case for games as well as bd movies.
For anyone who has seen it, a great test is the beginning of transformers dark of the moon. At the very beginning of the movie (start of chapter one), when the paramount logo is shown the audio does a sweep around the horn hitting each channel one at a time. It sounds great through speakers. Through the delta's, just stereo.

So does anyone else have these and had this issue?

Isn't dark of the moon a DTSMA soundtrack? In which case, wouldn't the sound be down mixed to stereo and then output via Dolby headphone using the Dolby surround to simulate a 5.1 environment? I have the turtle beach DX11s and from what I can tell (and comparing them to my old X41s) the Dolby processing is identical across models. When I hooked up my ear force DSS to my bluray player I was expecting it WOULD NOT work for DTS playback as the DSS is Dolby-- to my surprise the unit worked but, yes, the new output lacked the positioning that the Dolby 5.1 provided.

No, it is dolby true hd and dolby digital. In the settings menu of the bd, you can select dolby true hd 7.1 or dolby digital 5.1. Tried both with the same result.
And this movie was only one example. I've tested numerous movies and games, all of them would be played back in surround using the mixamp setup. But none are giving any type of surround with the delta's.
