UGH! So I was excited to get my A50s today! Hooked them up to my 360 and played a little Dead Island. I found I liked setting 3 the best, not too much bass and highs were nice.
I decided to play some multiplayer and found a group that was chatting. When I was chatting with them, no one was responding. My mic was down so I wasn't muted, and my icon in the game showed I had a mic. When I talked, I noticed the mic icon wouldn't move. I jumped out of the game and tried to send a voice message to a friend, but it would say no audio device found.
I tried all of the audio settings I could think of, but none of it would work, no mic detected.
So, maybe my 360 thought it was smarter than me, so I turned it off and hooked the A50s up to my PS3. When I plugged in the optical cable and USB power cable, I was only getting the power button light to come on, if I pushed the Dolby button on the tx, it wouldn't come on. I made sure the power was on for the headset, and had the volume all of the way up, but I had no sound at all. In the PS3 accessory settings, I turned on the astro wireless setting to allow voice chat, at least it saw I had a mic option, and it was on. But still no sound at all.
Looks like I'll be chatting with astro support on Thursday to see what they can do.
One other issue, I use an official microsoft wired contoller and the chat cable is really loose in the controller and easily slips out. I tried a wireless controller with the chat cable and it fit nicely.
I'll update when i hear from Astro.
