Anyway i had no resolution change it seemed for 3d, but it always works for 2d? Is it more hit and miss with 3d, or do I need a newer card or 3d display? It kept playing it back at 60hz.
Any help would be appreciated im testing all of this so i dont buy something thats a mistake.
Oh also with this method you mentioned telling the drive its displaying 3d, does that mean it wont switch back to 60hz when its done? Like 2d material does?

I have a 6xxx card in my htpc; my whole video chain is hdmi 1.4 compliant and I haven't had a problem getting tmt5 to play bluray 3d's either in disc form or iso files. The output switches back to 60hz automatically as soon as you stop or exit the player. The only flaw is the 24.00hz bug (instead of 23.976hz).
By the way, I have PowerDVD 11 and it behaves exactly the same way as far as refresh rate for 3D is concerned (auto switching, 24.00hz only). Don't know about PowerDVD 12.
