I just tried opening TMT5 by itself with auto refresh rate enabled & it opened & closed fine. Maybe it is a problem with MediaBrowser. I hope this won't be a case where MediaBrowser blames Arcsoft & vice versa.

Do you launch TMT 5 externally with Mediabrowser?

No I don't launch TMT 5 from MB. I don't have it to launch. I just wanted to check to see if tawd1992 had it installed. Checking the box in the MB setup will do nothing if you don't have the player installed on the system and I was asking for clarification. Guess (s)he has it installed upon re-reading the post.

I do have an nVidia GT 430 (for about a week now).

I do have an nVidia GT 430 (for about a week now).

I was curious as I was trying to help some folks over at the Mediabrowser forums.

They all seemed to have ATI cards as far as I could tell. I have an Nvidia ( I believe the same as you) and haven't had the same issue.

But I also have a different version of TMT 5 then they have. I don't want to upgrade as things work ok now...

I have this ASUS card. It is passivelly cooled and runs a little hot as expected, I guess. If you have this one, how's your temps?

I used to be an ATI guy, I am just switching back to Nvidia and I get confused with the product names/numbers.

But yea, now that you mention it it does run on the hot side even with the fan...

Not certain that it is a dual GPU, I think it takes up two slots but the second slot is more for the heatsink/cooling.

I just went with this as I wanted something that was compatible with Madvr and a half decent gaming card. I had the space so I figured why not.

I'm not into gaming so the GT 430 works for me. What temps are you seeing? I use GPU-Z to monitor and log mine. It runs in the mid 60's to low 70's and up to the mid 80's if I overclock it. I think these dies can withstand up to 100C before total meltdown..

Yea I believe mine runs around 70 after lite usage...I recently disconnected one case fan to improve noise, but I noticed this increase in heat. Well what can ya do.

Not worry about it I guess; I think these GPU's are designed to take this heat actually. So I'll either tolerate the heat or re-install that squirrel cage slot fan in my case. Other's have reported lower heat but they may have better ventilation.

For the last two days I'm trying to get smooth playback with Reclock and after so much time staring at TV i am now not sure if playback is good or not (maybe it is just in my had that it is out of sync). I made two clips (each is one minute long) with my phone and made a SS od Reclock settings during playing some video content. Now I'm asking you if you can check the two clips and tell me if they are sync or out of sync (is playback smooth or not)?

I have also been trying to play 3D content. Note: Again i am not sure if the audio and video are in sync. When playing Half-SBS the video playback was prefect (without juddering or stuttering, 3D did work) but when i tried to play Avatar 2009 3D Blu-Ray 1080p AVC DTS-HD MA 5.1 (http://***********/details.php?id=83873&source=search) the picture was 3D but there was a lot of juddering or stuttering, the movie was not watchable.

I have done everything is this tutorial on how to play 3D Blu-ray movies in TMT5 (http://www.arcsoft.com/totalmedia-theatre/tutorial/how-to-set-viewing-environment.htmll) and this clip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKJET8sgwMw) but as i said i can't get smooth 3D Blu-ray movies playback. Is it possible that i have a problem because of:
1) My PC is 5 and half years old (bad tech spec)?
2) HDMI is presumably 1.3?
3) My GPU is ADM 5770?
4) I have all this problems because of an old HDD and i should buy SDD?

I've been running the same Asus card since Feb, temps average in the high 60's to Mid 70's in a SilverStone Sugo SG05-B case with positive air pressure. But now that I think about that's when I had my Ceton tuner card sitting right next too it, haven't paid much attention to it lately. I'll take a look tonight after an hour of TV viewing just to give you a point of reference.

Update: My temps are running low to mid 50's on SD and low to mid 60's on HD.

For the TV viewing you might try adjusting the auto motion plus on the TV, I have the UN55D8000, the clear preset was the best option for 59 FPS US TV, it fixed every glitch that I was getting from live TV played via media Center. From what I understand, the glitching was a result of the 3:2 pull down. Make sure you have turned off all the color, contrast. noise filters in CCC. if necessary make those adjustments in the player. As far as 3D, if your just passing SBS, if should work, but I was having issues with an 5450 card, I had strange translucent bars on the top and bottom or the sides of the screen when trying to view 3D through my cable provider, I upgraded to the GT430 after purchasing TMT hoping to resolve the 3d issues, but I've not been successful with playing 3d Blu Rays with TMT 5 , still rely on the PS3, I've had number of projects that I've recently finished, so now I can focus on the3D play back over the next few weeks.

One thing that I found somewhat confusing was the 3d setup in the Nvidia control panel, is this necessary? I was thinking this was for the Nvidia Vision and the card would just pass the video signal, and then nvidia has some sort of 3dTV play software, and honestly, I have no idea if this was something I needed to purchase, http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-overview.html? What is this, are they trying to sell me a driver? If any one has any tips, I'm open for suggestions before I dive back in.

Is anyone using an mce remote with colored buttons in tmt?

I bought one but theirs talk on line that the newegg model i purchased from rosewill, the colored buttons simply dont work.

So im not sure if its the remote, or if colored buttons dont do anything in tmt 5.

these are nice functions like subtitle and audio toggle. Although i noticed on mce keyboard page audio toggle does not work on java blurays. But still i would like to know if anyones remote colored buttons do stuff in tmt.

The colored buttons tend to have unique features on a per-disc basis as they are programmed on the disc side, not the player or Blu framework side. Not all discs have assigned functions for those buttons. (And I've never seen any with the things you mention.)

My go to disc for testing this is I ROBOT since it lists from the menu which each button does. They all worked fine in the current release of TMT5 in both the standard player and MCE plug-in.

Talking remotes made me think. Is their a hot key or remote command that will switch audio out put setting so you don't havet to go into the menu to change it? This would be for the WMC version not the stand alone.

3D setup from the driver control panel is absolutely necessary for 3D to work in TMT5 when using an NV solution.

Purchasing 3DPlay is not necessary.

Sorry if this has been asked before. I did do a quick search.

After being fed up of waiting for a media player that could play 3D blu-ray iso's, I built an HTPC with this spec:-

Intel i5 Ivybridge
Asus z77 MB
4GB RAM
60GB SSD
Antec Fusion Remote case
Windows 7

Video and audio being sent via HDMI out to receiver.

After trying Powerdvd and others, the only software that a) sends DTS and not PCM to the receiver and more importantly b) plays 3D blu-ray iso, with the help of a virtual drive (build this in somebody), was TMT. Great I thought, where's the credit card and then CRASH!! Plays the 3D blu-ray fine, but when you stop it, the whole PC freezes. It seems unable to switch back to 2D. I can change it from full screen to windowed fine, but I can't stop the film or exit TMT without the whole PC hanging with a blank screen (if it was full screen) or a hung desktop (if it was windowed).

Anyone seen/have fix for this? So near and yet so far. Hope to get an answer before the trial ends. Downloaded yesterday so should be latest version.

PowerDVD 12 Ultra does all that too, and it's been stable. I've tried trial-ing TMT5 on 3 different builds and it seems to enjoy crashing.
Keep in mind PCM is just pre-decoded lossy tracks. Standalone BD players do it too. You can still bitstream both Dolby Digital, DTS if you want. If your video card's HDMI output can support it, it will also bitstream Dolby TrueHD and DTS-MA.

I tried PowerDVD first. Wouldn't play 3d blu-ray at all; PC crashed as soon as I hit play button on 3d blu-ray. It would only send PCM for DTS and kept resetting audio settings to PCM when playing half my M2TS files; the rest crash the system like 3D does. I would take it the trial version is the same as the Ultra you're speaking of? I'm sure not going to buy something on the hope it works.

The onboard i5 audio driver says it supports DTS, TrueHD etc. and certainly the receiver picks up the fact when TMT sends audio. As I say, whatever audio setting I set in PDVD it just resets it to PCM.

Maybe it's a support issue. Most of the software appears to have been developed around the dedicated graphics cards; ATI and specifically NVidia. Intel integrated is said to be supported, but I wonder whether the issue lies there.

I am testing out tmt5 and have run in to an issue I did not have with powerdvd. When I set up to watch a movie on my extended display, everything is fine until my display in the other room goes into sleep mode. It turns my extended display/movie off. Is there a setting to prevent this outside of duplicating the displays?

turns out I have this issue in display clone mode too. Its not computer sleep mode but rather the display inactivity sleep mode. Any suggestions?

Apologies if this is something known, but, as I don't often play DVDs with TMT5 (119), I've just noticed that SimHD doesn't turn on when I do. I'm running Win 7/64 with an nVidia GT-430. I can select different settings, but during playback it doesn't kick in.
