So I picked out a set of these speakers locally and I have to say I'm impressed.
The Pure Acoustics site only lists the EX 650 and the 750.
The EX 650 II is listed in Europe as Furguson: http://www.ferguson-digital.eu/en/lo...ex-650-ii.html
The biggest difference being that the 650 II has side firing 8" woofers whereas the regular 650 does not.
But the branding and the boxes it came in were all Pure Acoustics and it says designed and manufactured in U.S. Not that I care but some people are very concerned as to where these things are made
Dragonfly which is a Canadian based company actually re-brands Pure Acoustics Noble series and I believe Dream Acoustics does as well.
Initially I purchased a Yamaha HTR-4063 which was an open box item however there was no audio coming out of it. Since it was the last one in the store, I had to exchange for something else and went cheap and got the Pioneer VSX-520. It wasn't a bad receiver however I felt something was missing.
Exchanged it again for a Denon AVR-519 and it brought new life to the speakers.
I like the base that comes from the towers however I'm wanting more pounding and am thinking of getting a sub. I can get a Pure Acoustics sub but I'm wondering if anyone has any other suggestions for a decent 10" sub under $250.
I also started this thread because when I did a search for Pure Acoustics, there were loads of skeptical comments being made by those who have not seen or heard them. All I can say is, they are miles better than any Bose Acoustimass set you can buy.
