It even has its own achievements already: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/pinball-fx-2-w8/achievements/

Plants Vs Zombies had another easy Achievement, but that's probably better than never being ready for the Captain America ball to start going down the side of The Avengers table in order to get that one. I've never even saved a different ball so I can pull it off when the right one comes along...

Easy achievement??? I fulfilled the requirements nine times in my first game! Easy achievement is a massive understatement.

I love Plants vs Zombies so getting this table was a slam dunk. I do have to say this table is about hitting goals and challenges since even a terrible player like me can last forever. By the 30 minute mark, I was tired (it was 2:30 AM) and kind of wanted it to end. Usually I get wiped out within 15 minutes on any other pinball table.

I bought the Star Wars tables. Got the Achievement for the Clone Wars table, but Boba Fett is the one I like the most so far.

Found two different purchases I never knew were available. Had enough spare points for the Marvel Civil War table, which is OK. Not sure what the other tables were so they'll wait a while longer. I tend to buy the tables rather than do something amazing in demo mode then get told I need to pay now or lose it...

I'm downloading the 3 tables as we speak to my PC. Thought about spreading out my pinball. Have the Pinball Arcade on the 360. Have my older Pinball FX2 tables on 360. and the newer tables in Windows 8. one of my monitors is vertical so it's perfect for pinball. Huge high res screen.

Will also be able to download it to my tablet as well. Wonder how many systems I can download the game to. Never looked into how Windows 8 licenses work.

Thanks for the reminder on the Star Wars tables. I wasn't expecting it to drop so soon after how long it took to get the Marvel tables out.

somehow, it seems like they the voice samples aren't the real ones. it's like they used fake voice actors to say the lines. that definitely doesn't sound like Harrison Ford.

You know I never looked into the games for windows Live option before. I may have to do that and see how it works. Having Pinball FX2 on the PC and putting the monitor vertical would be fun to play!

the only negative I see for Pinball FX2 (and maybe it's something I'm not understanding) is it takes forever to log into your account sometime. much longer than it takes to log into your xbox live account on the 360..

Pretty much all of the Windows 8 games do that. A big part of the problem is that the login is not systematic, but instead per-app, so you have to wait until the app fully loads to the title screen before it even attempts to connect.

Something to keep in mind though is that I did read on the Zen Studios forums that they are planning on also releasing a general PC version too, which might have more settings and possibly better visual quality than the Windows 8 version. Unfortunately, tables purchased for the Windows 8 version will not carry over to that standalone PC version either.

We'll be releasing a general PC version that is not limited to the Windows 8 Metro environment. It should work on Windows 8, 7, and possibly other versions as well. Your table library won't carry over between this and the Windows 8 versions, so you should pick one and stick with it. The new version will be pretty similar to the Windows 8 version in terms of look, feel, and available content, but it will have global leaderboards and some other features like more extensive graphical options. It will also have offline play. We will add some features such as basic cab support after launch. We're still targeting Steam as the distribution channel, and the game should be out relatively soon.

what I didn't get about the star wars tables was why the higher graphical options were not ON by default in the settings. My system has the horsepower for pinball. It wasn't much to enable them but I was wondering why the tables didn't look that great before they were enabled.

Because the high graphics setting is buggy as $#!&. It will lock up my PC if I enable them, which I believe is an nVidia driver problem.

I hope the standalone PC version is better than the Windows 8 app.

It took 37 tables and a LONG time, but I finally cracked 100K Wizard Score and earned the avatar award on the 360. Since it looks like the 10-year helmet would be removed, I won't be equipping the award...

I'm bummed that I can not transfer the games to my WIn 7 Gaming laptop (Sager NP-8130). I put on Win 8 on my wife's dell laptop and that is not good enough to play the games most likely.

what specs does the laptop have? don't count it out yet. you can always try the demo free table (Mars) that comes with the Pinball FX2 base download.
