Trailer was out a long time ago.

Trailer's been out for about 24 hours. Hardly a long time. Besides, all the links I've been on only have the trailer for a short time before it's taken down.

That very same trailer was leaked over six mints ago. It wasn't exactly hd but it was watchable.

Transcript of Bane's lines:
{CIAguy has one of the hooded goons at gunpoint & hung out the plane window}
CIAguy: Tell me about Bane! Why does he wear the mask!...A lot of loyalty for a hired gun.
Bane (still hooded): Well perhaps he's wondering why someone would shoot a man before throwing him out of a plane.
CIAguy: At least you can talk. Who are you?
Bane (still hooded): It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan.
{CIAguy takes mask off}
Bane: No one cared who I was until I put on the mask.
CIAguy: If I pull that off will you die?
Bane: It would be extremely painful
CIAguy: You're a big guy.
Bane: for you.
CIAguy: Was getting caught part of your plan?
Bane: Of course. Dr.Pavel refused our offer in favor of yourswe had to find out what he told you about us.
CIAguy: Well congratulations, you got yourself caught, now whats the next step of your master plan?
Bane: Crashing this plane.with no survivors.
{Bane breaks his cuffs & his squad from the other bigger plane board and take over, they put Pavels blood into a dead body. One of Bane's goons starts to put on a harness to escape..}
Bane: No. They expect one of us in the wreckage brother.
Goon: Have we started the fire?
Bane: Yah, the fire rises.
{Bane about to escape w/ Dr.Pavel}
Bane: Calm down Doctor, now's not the time for fearthat comes later.

Saw the IMAX prologue/trailer before "MI: Ghost Protocol" (great movie, btw). Wowed by the scene, but only understood a few words from Bane. Thanks for the transcript!

I know the Nolans disdain ADR, but the audience needs to know what the characters are saying... And we won't be able to even read lips in the case of Bane.

The 6-minute TDKR trailer was pretty awesome and seeing it on the IMAX only added to it's awesomeness. Although I couldn't understand a damn thing Bane was saying. Hopefully Nolan/WB will correct this before it's released next year.

Agreed. Very cool, but wtf was up with the dialog? And why the hell do people have to stand up, block my view and TALK during the DK preview? Do I have to go to am IMAX with a stun gun from now on?

These movies just seem to be getting darker and darker. I love the 'light-hearted' Batman Begins....The dark knight was just one chaotic moment after the next...TDKR will be even more chaotic

I thought being "dark" was the whole point of the exercise.

Begins was lighthearted?? What was batman and Robin?? A rainbow parade?

I'm really disappointed by that trailer. I just don't like how the main focus seems to be a CGI-riddled take-down of a football field... that's disappointing on so many levels. If Nolan is going to start using CGI for primary action shots than at least use it to make Bane somewhat more... Bane-ish. 'Cause so far he's been pretty underwhelming.

I expected Bane to be bigger...but I'm sure Nolan won't disappoint

Yeah that part seemed very un-Nolan-ish but ... I'm sure this one will not disappoint.

So far, Nolan has been 2 outta 2 with The Bat.
Seems like the odds are good he'll bring the 3rd chapter home...

That new trailer looks pretty cool. This will be one badass film. My concerns are I thought Bane was bigger and two, Nolan/WB need to fix his dialog. With that said, I'll be in the IMAX opening weekend getting my mind blown!

I second the comment about the dialog. Inception had the same issue with mumbled dialog, especially from Ken Watanabe. It might add to the (contrived) mystery about the screenplay, but it gets irksome after a while when directors use it as a tactic to introduce false need for the user to perk up their ears that extra bit just to follow what the heck is going on!

Lol, really guys? It's Chris Nolan for crying out loud, his worst moments are still exquisite filmmaking.

Regardless, I think the unfortunate focus on the CGI football field explosion is just that... unfortunate. Word is that it is hardly the focus of the actual scene it is taken from. Besides that, they used over 15,000 extras in that scene, and tons of real pyrotechnics. They actually tore that field up, so it will be interesting to see how it all comes together in the final film. I sincerely doubt they would go through all that trouble for a scene they planned to just render in post...
post #354 of 1595
Well.... you'll just have to wait and see like the rest of us.
post #355 of 1595
please fix the bane audio...these are fantastic films, but make the characters audible..geez.
post #356 of 1595
So...any reviews from anyone who saw the first 6-minutes?

No, it's good ol' fashioned 2D. Which is nice since the wife loathes 3D. Makes my life easier.

For this kinda stuff, and IF (and that's big IF) I go to the cineplex, I don't mind paying for the 3D exhibition.
Many of the latest releases were conceived with 3D in mind....not the slapped-on-afterthought treatment we got post Avatar.

In spite of that, I won't be purchasing a 3D display any time soon.
Maybe when the tech evolves more....

2D BDs in my HT is the only presentation I go for right now.

Looks awesome although I've never seen an empty sideline before.
