I will find out something-I just hate knowing I can't handle 3D on a screen that big. I did not get to see DK as I had planned but a lot of people were ripping its IMAX-1:78 theater pic quality to begin with. The sounds all that but I am no 100% sure of the 2K part. I was a little worried when their pre-trailer intro was a very low db performance of the 2001 movie theme. VEry short lived concern though. I'll probably need a cushy sleeping bag for the showing of DKR I plan to attend just to get my `spot'!

LOL, I didn't hear that...but it sure is funny.

Never driven the Gallardo, but last month I drove the Aventador in Vegas for a few laps...

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet. If you've got a good sub(s) you should love it.

The Dark Knight Rises - Theatrical Trailer AC3 5.1

Tried this out last night. It is insane, the football field scene has some of the loudest low frequency bass I've heard. Seems as if some of the sound design techniques are spilling over from Inception. Unfortunately I was hearing a little compression or static in the mains during a few sequences. Even so this is great demo material, I plan to "scare" my family with it this weekend : ).

That makes three of us. Michelle Pfeiffer was never more scrumptious than she was as Catwoman in Tim Burton's Batman Returns.

It was no better than an average entry in the Batman universe but I certainly remember Pfeiffer. Wow!

Lol! After all the fuss most made about his voice from the last trailer... I'm not surprised to hear it changed (and audible) as much.

I think this movie is going to be epic. Not like the Avengers, which I saw the other day (which was great in terms of entertainment), but I prefer more grounded, real-world content with real stakes. This trailer just reminded me that this is more adult orientated.
Im more excited about this than prometheus
post #535 of 1545
Trailer revealed more than I wanted to see...

Still looking forward to it. Although, Prometheus is still highest on my anticipation list for the summer.
I'm conflicted. Prometheus and Dark Knight Rises are both on my most anticipated films list this year. Amazing Spiderman is up there, but these other two films feel ... bigger.

I thought The Avengers was a phenomenal film. I like it more than TDK, which I thought was great but had flaws people seemed to overlook. Yes, I know I'm in the minority.

Regardless, I'm a big fan of Nolan's films and I can't wait for the 50 minutes of IMAX footage in TDKR.
REALLY looking forward to it, I just hope they don't sideline Batman for half the film while Wayne works out whatever internal struggles he's grappling with. I've seen other films that follow that formula and it's kinda boring with the villain getting most of the screen time.
I love how it starts , silently, with just their voices and then the music progresses, amplifies... "not everything, not yet"..... hmmmmm can't wait!!!!!

For me, Avengers was a case of style over substance. It was a popcorn flick with little depth. At the end of the day I was entertained, so mission accomplished on that front. However films like Dark Knight are so well executed, the cinematography, acting and depth of these characters is what pulls me in. It also feels a lot more dangerous. In Avengers I never cared about the characters because I knew they were never in danger.

But to each their own. Everyone has different tastes.
