I'll wait for the TV version, watching in bits and chunks doesn't appeal to me.

I did watch both episodes on youtube last night and it is interesting. I look forward to full bitrate high quality, low latency viewing options in the coming months.
The next youtube episode (3) will be on 11/16/12.

They'll be posting at least two 7-12 minute episodes every week, running the entire 10 episode cycle out in 4 weeks, ending on the 30th.

Will all the episodes stay up after they're aired or will there be some kind of expiration date on them?

I'd expect them to, but I don't know for sure. No doubt a playlist will be posted letting you view all of them without exiting to start the next one after they're all out.

I liked it the first two webisodes. Wish someone would pick this up for a series. We are lacking a good space epic and BSG has the deep back story to pull it off.

It suffered for the same reason as Invasion. Too slow a start to build an audience.

I loved Invasion!

Just watched Episodes 3 & 4, conveniently presented in a playlist this time. Lots of action, very good smile.gif.
It's over--there's a playlist with which to watch all 10 parts back-to-back here, 1 hour 22 minutes total.

It was pretty good--I enjoyed it cool.gif. Pity that it's probably not going to be made into a series.

+1, classic BSG...too bad it ends here.

Finished last night, will pre-order the BD, loved the ending both at the "hotel" and the Galactica.
Yeah, I look forward to seeing this on Blu Ray as apposed to low rez. youtube.

I watched in 5 Mbps YouTube 1080p, which was pretty decent (on this PC, whose monitor is a 46" 1080p LCD panel). The great added value the BD will bring for me digital surround sound.

I watched on my 65" DLP, the HD You Tube version will certainly be better than the Syfy version with all the screen spam pimping whatever ghost or wrestling show is coming up...
The show airs this Sunday (2/10/13) at 9 on SyFy.

Thanks! Recording set for 2/10 show.
Yeah, appreciate it. I don't watch anything on Syfi anymore so I would have missed the promos.
Well, I didn't have the time to watch this in webisode format. I liked it and it reminded me how much I miss the show. It's a shame the series didn't pan out. I did notice the difference between how clean the CGI looked compared to the regular scenes. There appeared to be a ghosting effect that I wasn't too crazy about. Also, I thought the scientist was a Cylon and not a traitor so that was an interesting twist.

Good show.

One of the great things about Battlestar Galactica is that every character acted like a professional and that make the character believable. These characters acted like children and incompetents. We laughed at the stupid things they said and the stupid things they did.

"Whaaa, I wanted to pilot a Viper!!!"

"Whaaa, I don't want to go on a scary secret mission! I want to go back the Galactica where I'll be executed!"

"Oh dear I forgot we'd be blasted if I didn't give them the secret password. I wrote this critical information somewhere on this crumpled up piece of paper..."

The dialog was terrible but I guess they thought it would work if the actors screamed all of it. How about Adama's comeback to "Do you believe everything they say about you?" He didn't say "Only the good stuff." He didn't say anything at all, The writers couldn't think of anything for our hero to say.

Throw in the extra shaky camera work and the cheap CGI horizontal flares in nearly every scene (even real anamorphic lenses don't flare this much!) and we couldn't make it past the first hour. We didn't care about these idiot characters or this show.
So I'm not sure. Are you saying you didn't like it?
I didn't think it was that bad at all. Some of the lines were goofy and I didn't like the flares and lightburst look in most of the scenes. The special effects were really good, I thought. Seeing the very original series when I was a kid, I loved seeing the Vipers and the Cylon fighters that looked like the original series. I always thought both of those looked better than the X-wings and tie-fighters in Star Wars.

Nice Video and Information:

Too bad its a dead end.

They should have gone in this direction rather than the more cerebral 'Caprica'. I liked 'Caprica', but the network overestimated its viewers' intelligence and patience.
I watched the webesodes and the Syfy version, my pre ordered Blu should be in around noon tomorrow, won't get to watch till Friday or Saturday though...

I completely agree. I didn't much like Capricorn--it had its moments, but it never managed to make me care about any of its characters. The problem with Blood and Chrome is a set of webisodes which establish that Adama flew one mission in a Viper, got shot down and poked around in a Cylon facility in which experiments on humans were being performed, ostensibly toward development of the human-form Cylons. It turned out to be the last day of the war. Of course, had they moved forward with Blood and Chrome as a series they could have just swept that under the rug smile.gif.

Those weren't webesodes when Adama was on that planet, that was from Razor ...

They were a set of webisodes called Razor Flashbacks. I downloaded them in HD from the Video Marketplace and watched them on my Xbox. They "aired" before Razor was released and were integrated into some of the discs of both Razor and the series.
Yes they weren't on the broadcast version (which is still on one of my dvrs) but were on the BD.

Guess, I am late to this party. Aside from all of the creative defects (as noted in earlier posts), I really did enjoy seeing this! After being w/o new BSG material for so long, it was like a rejuvenating rain storm hitting my body. smile.gif It just felt good to be back in the BSG universe once again.

The casting for Lt. Adama didn't make sense to me, though. He looked way more slender and weakly than I would imagine a young Adama. Usually I don't mind lense flair effects so much as others, but I have to agree the amount that was done here takes it to a whole new level of annoying and obnoxious (unless the point was to simulate if B&C video was shot using a cheap cellphone). I do think the military career of Adama is a goldmine of worthy episodes for a series.

+1. Was it as good as BSG? Of course not - that show was a brilliant, once-in-a-lifetime gem. But was it better than anything the so-called Syfy channel has given us in recent years other than 'Continuum' and 'Charlie Jade' - both of which are/were produced outside the U.S.? You bet.
