Need advise on building my first 5.1 home theater system

Opt 3 is better quality. Energy Take Classic 5.1 with a Denon AVR-591 is a great setup.

You can't go wrong with either option 1 or 3

I would tend to think the warranty should be a year though, so you still have protection.

Yes, I know this is aggressive shopping, but it DOES meet your upper price point of $800.

Now if you want to spend less, you obviously have come up with several choices that people can give you input on.

I don't know about the infinity system. If you search the forum for info, you will find a few posts. I do know that B&H, an excellent vendor, has the Infinity for about 452 shipped.

Two questions: how long are you going to stay in an apartment and do you have people below you?

If you are going to be in an apartment for a while where people live below you, maybe a smaller sub like the BIC V1020 might be okay since you might not be "cranking" it.

If you want 7.1 I would spend the extra $50 on the Denon AVR-1611, Its the AVR-591 with 7.1

If you don't need a 3d video capable receiver the Pioneer VSX-1019 is a great first receiver at $350
