Hi everyone,
For a while now I have 2 major problems with my AV-setup, one of them I'm describing here.
First of all, my current setup:
Samsung UE40B6000 HDTV
-------------
Harman Kardon AVR 255 (5.1 setup, with image upscaling when necessary)
-------------
Digital TV box (Telenet)
Harman Kardon DVD player
Playstation 3, also used as Blu-ray player
All are connected with HDMI cables through the AVR.
The problem is that most of the time the AV sync is way off, sometimes practically a whole second. When it fails, the image is always after the sound. The difference is too big to compensate with my AVR, the lip syncing only has a maximum of 280ms.
The difference of image/sound with a blu-ray movie on the PS3 is minimal.
With the DVD player, it depends on the movie, very strange.
And with the digital TV box, it depends on the channel.
So my conclusion was it had to do with image quality. The Samsung TV tries to make the image as nice as possible. I figured out it had to make the delay, so I tried to disable all the Samsung TV image options. But the situation did not improve.
Does anyone maybe have some advice for me? Many thanks!
