I have a dedicated home theater and would like a recommendation on a streamer or server or something. What I want to do is put my BluRays onto a hard drive and be able to quickly and easily play back in my theater. I need 1080p and lossless HD audio. From what I read, the WDTV does not doe lossless. I read that the popcorn hour does do lossless but the system is slow. Also, will i need to store my blurays on a HD connected to my home computer or to whatever device I buy? I would alos like to stream NefFlix, but since that do not stream 1080p and with my 138" screen, I'm not that interested. It's all a bit confusing.

Sotwell, no offense...but it sounds like maybe you need to back up a step or two before you buy a streamer. Do you know how to rip? Know anything about storage and/or networking?

Maybe try reading the guide in my sig, and get yourself up to speed.

Thanks CD, I do have experience ripping and streaming to a degree. I have my entire music collection streaming with the Logitech Duet system which I love.

Your guide looks great and I will be reading this over trying to come up to speed.
