WD Live Plus resets video output

First of all, I hope this is the right place for this. I have a WD Live Plus that I absolutely LOVE! However, I'm getting annoyed at having to reset it every other day. I typically leave the video output setting to HDMI (auto) as I have it hooked up to an Onkyo SR-705 receiver which does not upconvert. HDMI out of the receiver to my Optoma EP719 projector which is 1080i/720p at 60hz, I believe.

The problem I'm having is that the WD Live doesn't seem to select the correct video output settings. The WD loading screen will display, then, nothing and I have to hit the reset button. I tried manually setting the video output to something like 1080i (50hz) or (60hz) to no avail. It will display fine for a few times, then the next day will have issues. I tried switching up with a couple of them with similar results. It's frustrating because then I have to go in and re-adjust all of my other settings as well.

I was going to post on the Western Digital forums, as they've been a good resource for info, but figured I'd start here first. Any thoughts?

Nobody else running into this, or know of anything I could try? Any issues with just leaving the stupid thing "on" full-time? I use it almost everyday.

You might want to try posting in this thread for the WD TV Live plus. You may get a faster response.

WD has been working on fixing HDMI issues with the latest beta version of the firmware. You might try it if you can download it from their site.

The WD Community forums might be a good place to search or post a thread at.
